Poured slab without footer, didn't run conduit for water pipes. 3" low spots on several areas of floor with several humps. Had to hire someone else to grind high spots and fill low spots. Rough Framed cabin then left site for 2 months. Paid for 30 tear metal but he installed 10 year. Put siding on 2/3 of cabin and half of roof. Then left for 2 months before coming back and putting rest of roof and siding on. After firing him had to hire another contractor to take roof off and square up and install vapor barrier underlay. All rough openings for interior doors were wrong size. Had to hire another contractor to fix. Had to dig up sewage line because he didnt connect line to septic. He just stubbed the pipe out of foundation and covered it up. He didnt connect washer drain to system. Had to hire another contractor to fix. Cost me $12000.00 to repair and finish what he was supposed to do. Found out later from locals he does this often!

They do exactly what they say they are going to. They charge exactly what they say they are going to charge. They clean up after themselves. It's as if they were never there. They are fabulous. He's a Christian man and he taught his son his craft. He's been a contractor for many years as well as all of his subcontractors. Every contractor in Jefferson City and Columbus respects Jude Markway. He is an amazing contractor. They came, they worked everyday. Every subcontractor they suggested (insulation or drywall subcontractors) are just as wonderful as he is. There is not a better contractor than him. When they came to remove the wall, they were here for 2 hours, made no mess, and did exactly what they came to do and charged exactly what they said they would charge. He's fabulous. They will do as much as you want. I wanted them to do it to the point of unfinished because my son-in-law, I have some rough maple that they will use to finish the beam with. They will do it to any point that you want. They had worked in another house of ours but that was a couple of years ago. My mother owned a home and it was built in the 50's and the floor had lost it's support in one corner from moisture. The boys got in, they took out the hardwood floor, they put new joists underneath the floor, replaced the floor, quick and simple. There is no way to discribe what an honorable wonderful man he is. I asked my son, who works as a contractor in Jefferson city, who can build the living room and the sun room on for mom? And then of course, he built the walls for the bathrooms. He cut through and made a door so that there's a bathroom on one side and a bathroom on the other side, it kind of makes a small hall for about half of the kitchen. Then the rest of it is kitchen. And then she has the bedroom in the front. So it is a conventional ranch but we gave her the 2 bedrooms so she now has a sun room, a living room, a bathroom with the full shower on one side and the vanity on the other and then it kind of creates a hall where they cut out the window where the bathroom is. Then you walk into the kitchen. She has a stove, sink, refrigerator. Then she has her bedroom at the front. So, she has all the privacy that she wants but she's right here with us. We worked together with Jude to plan that. You might think you know what you want. I had this big idea. What Jude will do is sit down and ask you, what is your budget and then he's been in the business so long that he can tell you from the slope of your yard or the style of your house or your roof line or whatever, what will work best for you. You don't need someone to draw plans. They work from simple drawings. From their concrete people, who came first, to pour the foundation, from their concrete people to the drywall finisher, they were an amazing group of people. I thought his pricing was extremely reasonable. I mean, he build on a 22 foot room, an 8 foot sun porch, reroofed the house and finished it to drywall and paint for $20,000 and that included roofing the entire house, not just the part that he built on. That was totally reasonable. I can't even imagine anybody being any more skilled, any better, any more experienced. If they tell you they are going to be there at 3:33 they are there at 3:33. Those are the kindest, most patient, most respectful boys I have ever met in my life."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mo/jefferson-city/jude-markway-construction-co-reviews-449767.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"AAA Handyman & Hauling","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MO","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Cynthia W."},"reviewBody":"The painters did a good job with the painting and clean up. The workers that worked on the floors did a good job. The drywaller also did good job. The contractor, Mark Williams, charged us twice for the same job on the drywall. Overcharging $150. He did admit this. His record keeping was poor. He was pleasant to talk to but very unprofessional. Had us get several gallons of paint too many. We were not able to return these. Half way through the job (we were having more work done on the kitchen), he did not show up for scheduled appointments and never returned our calls. Despite repeated calls, we never heard from him again. Had to get another contractor to finish our project. I would suggest to stay clear of this company. FAQs for concrete finishing projects in Fulton, MO
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
