In August of 2016 I contracted David Grembocki and his team with Roman Creations LLC to add a microtopping and then acid stain my unfinished concrete basement floor in my 100+ year old house in the city. When meeting with David’s team the first time to explain what I was hoping to achieve from this project they were great at telling me what was and was not possible in my request and then offering alternatives to achieve the final look I had my heart set on. Of all the estimates I received, Roman Creation’s was on the lower end and also guaranteed the work to be completed in a shorter time frame than any other company.
The floor refinishing and staining was a two day process. During both days that the Roman Creations team was at my house, they were courteous and acted like guests in the house and did a great job of looping us in on what steps were being completed and how much time was left in their activities. On day two when they were laying down the pattern and color they were very patient with my requests for tweaks to the color and again were comfortable telling me when my request may lead to a look darker than I had requested.
The final look is incredible; my boyfriend and I call it our “swimming pool” because of the fantastic mix of light grays, greens and blues. The stained floor took our previously dark and unfinished basement to a newly reclaimed living space that is 1000% more livable and homey than before. After the work was done David was great about checking in immediately after the job was done and then again a few weeks later to make sure everything was as we were expecting and that we were happy. Roman Creations’ level of customer service before, during, and after the project is what makes me recommend them so highly as I have complete confidence that they would be attentive to any issues future customers had with their project, not to mention that the final product is impeccable.
