David Moellering Roofing

Dave and his crew replaced a cedar shake roof on our first house years ago.  We moved and needed a new roof on our next house and I couldn't wait to call Moellering roofing.  (How many times can you say that about a contractor?)  His men are courteous, hard working, and pleasant.  I had no concern about them around or in my house - even when I was not home.  The job was quick and easy.  Dave called not too long ago to check in to make sure all was well.  Never has a homeowner maintenance experience been as wonderful as dealing with Dave and new roof(s)!   I wish all repairs were as carefree!

I contacted the company in July and the owner (David Moellering), provided an estimate in 2 weeks. David took the time to explain some of the things we might want to do with the roofing to protect our house. He told us his crew was working another job at the time and gave us an approximate start date. The job started on the 3rd of September and was completed on the 5th.
The crew was professional, on time and thorough. All of the shrubs were covered with plywood as they worked. They moved everything of ours away from the house (and put it back later). They placed wide tarps over the lawn as they worked. I haven't found a single nail or piece of scrap from the work they did. David made certain to reassure us that the shingles were nailed at the nailing strips. ( Some years ago I had a roof where the shingles blew off because of improper nailing). The estimate was better than the large roofing companies. The crew told me that they had been with David a long time (20 years) and that he was good to work for. One of the crew arrived a little later and David explained that he was a single father and got his children to school before he came to the job.
David's son is on his crew also. When the roof was completed and the clean up was done I told the crew that the job really looked good. At that time they thanked me for the work. (In this day and age - refreshing to be thanked). I strongly recommend them.
