If you want rude and unprofessional service, this is the company to call.  If you want to deal with competent professionals, do not call this company.  Sam of S&L Roofing behaved unprofessionally on the job.  If we would have known how he was going to behave on the job, he would not have been given it.  After the job was completed, a simple mechanic's lien waiver was requested.  Sam attempted to charge $150.00 for the mechanic's lien waiver.  He was rude and unprofessional to three different people relative to contacts to get the mechanic's lien waiver, even though the work was paid for in full.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  IT IS BAD NEWS.

I called this company late in the day to make an appointment for bidding, and Sam came by the very next day to look at the roof and estimate the job. He called while at the house to give me the estimate on the spot, and also stated that a gutter was full so he went ahead and cleaned it out while up on the ladder. He gave me start and completion dates, which were contingent upon weather being late in the year, and did the work on those dates even though it was a weekend. Sam and his employee worked diligently to get the job done in a timely manner. Overall, an excellent job: they started & finished promptly, cleaned up the debris, and charged a fair price.

He responded right away and sent an estimate. He showed up the day he said he would and was on time. The work was completed and he cleaned the gutters while he was up there. Sam was very nice person. It seems to be harder and harder to find someone to work on slate. Since the repair was not due to leaks inside and I did not get on the roof it is not the same as liking a paint job. I trust he did a good job and would have him out again when needed.

I've been using him for 20 years and he does excellent job. He shows up on time and gets everything done quickly. I'd use him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to everyone!

SAM WAS GREAT. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE & HONEST. DIDN'T TRY TO PAD THE BILL, WHICH IS APPRECIATED. CAME ON A SATURDAY, PROMPT & PROFESSIONAL. VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

VERY GOOD OVERALL EXPERIENCE. CHANGED THE START DATE, BUT CALLED AHEAD TO LET ME KNOW. ON TIME FOR NEXT START DATE. TOOK ON THE CARPENTRY REPAIRS THAT OTHER ROOFERS WANTED EXORBITANT PRICES FOR OR WOULDN'T DO AT ALL. FINISHED PROMPTLY. OWNER ON SITE AND WAS THE LEAD MAN. INSTALLED MORE EXPENSIVE COPPER FLASHING, BUT DID NOT CHARGE EXTRA. HE HAS A HEARING PROBLEM, SO YOU HAVE TO WORK A LITTLE HARDER AT COMMUNICATIONS. LOCATED IN FESTUS, BUT WORKS ST. LOUIS AREA AS WELL.
