Price: The price seemed fair. I believe we paid full price, and we were cut no bargains, but that's how Wilke makes their living, so it is what it is.
Quality: The doors turned out beautiful, with only a couple of small blemishes. Installers did an awesome job.
Responsiveness: They usually called me back same day. There was one time when they said we'll call you by X date. That date came and went, and we had to call Wilke, and that's when we found out there was going to be a delay.
Punctuality: Showed up at our house exactly when they said they would.
Professionalism: Conducted themselves as professionals.
We looked at the door displays in the Fenton store and asked lots of questions there. The person there was very professional and answered all our questions. Eventually we decided to have them build us a door and side panels, both with decorative glass. We made an appointment to have the measurement and designer person come to our home. Guy came and took measurements and told us all of the options available, answered all of our questions and made suggestions. He was terrific. After going thru several catalogs, we picked out the decorative glass. We chose a fiberglass door because it can show wood-like grain on the interior, which we wanted stained to closely match our new hardwood floor. We picked out a color for outside of the door and panels, door hardware, etc. Guy sent us the bid. We sent the bid back signed and with a payment of about half of the total amount. They said it would take about ten weeks to build the door, custom stain and paint the door.
They called us after about nine weeks and made an appointment to install the door. The two installers arrived a little early, took out the old door and installed the new. They did a great job. The new door looks great. We are very pleased with it. And we were very pleased with Wilke.
I had a *lot* of questions about the installation process - you read a lot of horror stories out there about replacement windows failing after a few years, and my old windows were very high quality even though they were incredibly inefficient - but the Don, the estimator, was very patient and even came out to the house twice to help me understand the techniques they would be using. The new windows look great and really upgrade the house.
They do appear to use subcontractors to do the installation. I was happy with their work though.
