We discovered water damage under chimney due to work completed by previous home owner/installer. Larry at JeffCo was quick to assess the situation and suggest a reasonable fix for the problem. His pricing was slightly less than competitors and he offered a much better solution. (Another contractor suggested simply adding A LOT of caulk for the same price.) We completed this work in winter, so there were delays due to temperature; however, JeffCo was on site as soon as weather permitted. We were kept informed of progress throughout the project. The repair work was completed professionally and looks better than the original.

Most of the roof looks good except the front. We have two dormers and they couldn't get it right. The spacing between the rows of the shingles was noticeably uneven around the dormers. They came back because they wanted to get paid. They disagreed with me, but eventually redid it only to put in a different colored shingle. Then the rep made me point out each wrong colored shingle while standing on the lawn and pulled them up instead of pulling up all the wrong shingles. He was not happy that he had to redo again and our conversation was not good. In the end I have a few wrong colored shingles and the spacing narrows in this area. Fortunately a large tree in the yard hides the mistakes. I fired them for the gutters, fascia and soffit.

They were very responsive to our series of pre-installation questions. We felt a little more out of the loop when it came to scheduling, but it worked out ok. After the installation, we did find several scrap pieces of gutter and mesh screen around the base of the house, so the job site clean up was not perfect, but not totally terrible. I did just notice that, in the one area where we can see the gutter screen from a second floor window, there is a portion of the screen that is already turned upward and not keeping the debris out of the gutter very well. Due to the limited viability, I am not sure if this is a isolated incident, or if there are other issues like this.

Jeffco damaged the interior of our house around the skylight and they would not repair the damage correctly. They told me that I needed to hire someone to repair the damage they caused.

"Jeffco completed the skylight and per homeowners request Jeffco did come back and touch up the area on the drywall around the skylight. This damage was caused by leaking from the previous skylight and that started the process for the skylight replacement. The homeowner did not pay their bill in full and retained money in case they were to have the interior completed by someone else at their discretion. I notified them that the reduction in the payment was not typical but apparently they had no intention to pay the full balance. At that point I thought they were fine with the reduced bill as a sign of good faith on our company's behalf. Our company does all the skylight replacements for the condominium complex in which the homeowners live and in the past 3 years we have replaced approximately 30 skylights and have never had an issue with another owner. Our contracts with the homeowners and condominium association does not cover interior damage due to previous skylights leaking. I contacted the condominium board and notified them of this issue and they agreed that any interior damage was the unit owner's responsibility. Larry from Jeffco handled this very well. We had multiple estimates from other AL providers at a much high $$ amount. Larry gave us good confidence that they could fix, which they did. We will use Jeffco again.

Everyone I spoke to was friendly and incredibly helpful at every point in the process. The contractor removed our old gutters and left them covered with a tarp in the backyard so we could haul them to a trade-in business on our own--extremely thoughtful of him! The work was quality and accomplished very quickly.

With my permission, the company came out and checked out the house when no one was home. Later that same day, I received a call with an estimate, which was very reasonable. Jeffco completed the repairs right away, and I was very happy with the service -- so happy with it that I called them again this morning to give me a bid on roof work. Glad I found this company!

They arrived early and immediately started working on removing the old roof. As the old roof was removed the plywood was inspected and replaced if needed. This was the original roof from 1979 so there was some plywood damaged, and luckily there were only 8 pieces of plywood that needed replaced. After repairing the damaged wood, they then installed the new roof. After they were finished working, they cleaned up the entire area and yard of any debris. Provided their own dumpster for the old removed shingles.
Extremely friendly and professional, dedicated workers, and the entire job took only 1 day. Started around 8:00am and was completely finished and gone by around 3:30pm.

Jerry Worked with me to determine best solution for bad drainage system that was causing my mortar to disintegrate. Dropped off samples to help me make best choices. Extremely easy to contact, always called me back in a timely fashion. Did nice job with the work, I am very satisfied. I had also consulted a roofer, I liked Jerry's solutions better. He even gave me name and number of good gutter cleaning service and they were also great.

Everything went very well. I guess the speed to do the job, it was faster than they have anticipated so that was good. The price was pretty comparable, they were all about the same from the people I had gotten estimates from.
