It went well for the most part. The quote was accurate. The crew was punctual knowledgeable and efficient. We did ask for a water-based polyurethane but ended up getting an oil based. That was our only issue.

The owner, Mike, was very accessible throughout the process. He and his crew were knowledgeable about their services. The crew was prompt, polite, and hard-working. They addressed my concerns quickly. I am very pleased with the outcome. The floors are beautiful, again!

Mike showed up to quote on time and spent time with me explaining what could be expected if he were to get the job.

I hired him to refinish the floors in six rooms in the house.

Mike's crew came when they said they would and remove all of the old carpeting to expose the existing floors.  There was some old termite damage and several boards had to be replaced.  This was a small extra charge (which Mike had told me could happen) when the old carpet was removed.

Mike had estimated that the job would take about three days and there could be a smell from the finish.

The job did take three days!  The slight smell that I noticed was not nearly as bad as I had expected.

The floors are absolutely gorgeous. When sanded and the grain of the wood came out, even Mike was impressed.  This is old wood that was installed when the house was built in 1927.  Mike took care to be sure to sand in a way that complimented the natural grain.

Everyone that comes in the front door comments on the beauty of the floors.  I could not be happier!

My floors look incredibly beautiful now, thanks to Mike at Heritage and his crew.  Also Mike's daughter ended up lending a hand on those register covers, and they looked as fabulous as the rest of the job.  
Heritage Hardwood went so far out of their way for me, I'm going to have difficulty outlining it all, but here we go:  Not only did Mike do a next-day bid on a job I was hoping with all of my heart to have be a rush job, when he heard why he went out of his way to help me.  Even going so far as to work on the weekend, with his daughter, to make sure the job was done as soon as possible.  
My dogs, who are both rescues, had to be boarded while we waited to take possession of a house in Ellisville. It was such a busy season and everyone was booked, including Heritage floors.  When I told Mike I needed my floors done as soon as possible, he committed to finishing my job within ten days and he did better than that: finished the job within a five day period.  It involved working a holiday weekend, on both the Saturday and the Friday, but he did it cheerfully, without complaint just to help me. 
And the end result is stunning!  We were staining light maple floors to "gunstock" which is a redder stain, in order to pick up the grain.   My floors look beautiful and thanks to Mike's efforts, I will get to bring my dogs back home on schedule.  He didn't compromise an ounce of quality for my convenience.   My floors are gorgeous, a true showpiece and his crew was so nice too!  They had to hunt around in a drop ceiling for a water shut-off and they did that without complaint.   
Everyone involved was so professional , so courteous and so kind.  I can't recommend this company enough.   They are wonderful, honest, kind and they do fabulous work.

The overall experience with them was excellent I would say.  They got to work the next day after I contracted with them.  They were done in some matters, I had problem that they had solved right away.  They were good to work with.

Mike and his team did an awesome job on my floors.  They did my whole house. Now that probably only came to 550 sq feet of hardwood.  It's a small house. I got a satin, natural finish.  They are so beautiful, and I could not be happier with their work.  They were quick, friendly and efficient.  I would use them again in a heart beat.

When another company totally messed up our floors, I only had 5 days to find somebody and get it all finished before we were moving into the house. Mike agreed to work overtime (probably seeing what a wreck I was he took pity on me) to get it all done in time for the move. They worked late and did a great job! I wish I could post the before and after pics. The floors look amazing and Mike and his crew were a delight to work with! Would definitely use them again.

It was a great experience with them. We bought our own bamboo wood and then they installed it for us. I thought they were very professional and helpful. They did a great job.

We got two bids and picked Heritage and it went very well.  The dust from the sanding was extremely minimal and they don't use the truck method as some do which is more expensive. They redid our entry Foyer and our large kitchen.  The work took 3 days for the different phases of the effort but that was expected.  The outcome was excellent.  The owner and his crew are very professional and skilled.

The project went very well.  The workmen were fairly prompt.  The floors were completed in a timely manner, despite the discovery of some issues with the hardwood floors once the carpet was removed.  There was a hole in the middle of the bedroom floor that had to be repaired with salvaged wood and a lot of screws that had to be removed from the floor before the refinishing could take place.  They did a great job repairing the hole in the floor and you cannot even tell where it was unless you look very closely.  They did a pretty good job of keeping the dust to a minimum.  The floors look fantastic.  I thought that the price was reasonable for the amount of work they had to do.

Their pricing was fair. The guys were great to work with and they provided quality work. However, I did noticed some trouble with the finishing and they stated they would get back and follow up with me and they never did.

Overall, we were very happy. The floors look amazing and they had a great team. Only a few minor issues but nothing serious. I would recommend stuffing something in the vents if you remove marble or tile. I am still fishing out chucks and need to clean the vents. But not a big deal. I would happily recommend Mike to anyone, and will work with them again when we redo our kitchen.

They did a good job.  We did have to call them out a couple of times, but all in all we're pretty satisfied.

They were at my house promptly and stayed 3 hrs the 1st day sent great. 1st day and 1 1/2 hrs the 2nd day. They were very professional and did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with the results.

I attempted to sand down the hardwood floors in the dining room, living room, and hallway in a home I had just purchased, using rental equipment. I was unable to completely remove the old finish, so I brought in Mike to take a look. He gave me a quote of $625. Later, he called and said he had an opening, and that he could do the job starting that day for $50 less, and we hired him. Him and an assistant went to work. He didn't finish that day, but before he left, he walked the floors with me to find places where holes/dents needed to be filled. His assistant finished the next day. He said the old finish was tough, and it took him more paper than normal to get the job done. When he was done, the finish was all gone and the floors were ready to refinish. He offered to do the staining as well, but I told him I wanted to do that myself. Nevertheless, he offered staining advice and answered a few questions I had.

The work went really well. They finished when they said they would. They started on a Friday and finished on Wednesday. The stain was exactly what we wanted it to be. They put stain samples on the floor so we could choose and see what it would look like on the actual floor. They weren’t pushy about anything. When most companies claim that it is 99% dust free, it’s actually not a dust-free system; it would mean 99% dust free on the floor and not off the walls and other areas. The floors had been done by an amateur before this, so there was a lot of unevenness, and they didn’t charge extra for that, even though it was extra work sanding. They pretty much charged what they said it would cost. The best part about them was their quality. We would use them again in the future if necessary.

Mike's team was wonderful. The price was very reasonable for the size of the house but Mike's team definitely set themselves apart from the competition. Not only do the floors look wonderful and they spent almost five days methodically sanding, cleaning, staining and coating the floors, they went above to try and find ways to make the color we wanted more dramatic and really cared about what they were doing. They even stopped the mail carrier to bring us our mail. They epitomize professionalism and I will be using them again to refinish the floors in the kitchen. They did a wonderful job, were professional and took pride in their work, I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys.
