"Atlas never straighten this lady's wall, we installed tiebacks to stabilize the wall. This wall was poured concrete with a thick coating of stucco on the inside. We had a good rain and they were out of town and they had a leak by the tieback which after investigating, it was a crack running through that area by the tieback which was behind the stucco that we could not see. The gutter right outside the repair was also full and overflowing. Atlas offered to repair the crack and a crack on the other side that was leaking also. They choose to go through our company liability insurance immediately and not even give Atlas a chance to repair the crack or anything else. My insurance company settled with them and then told me they have claimed water damage three times through their insurance company on this same basement damage. Contractors beware of this customer."
I bought my house in 1993 and the only time the foundation cracks leaked was during week-long rainy periods. Not much water came in and it flowed directly to the basement drain. But during the heavy rain we had this past December, I had a small waterfall and thankfully I happened to be in the laundry room when the water started pouring in. My basement would have had a lot of water damage in the finished area if I had not been downstairs. I didn't want to take a chance of that happening again so I called Atlas repair the cracks. Have not had a single drop of water since Atlas made the repairs.
I had a major crack at the back of my finished basement in which parts of the drywall had dropped at least an inch. In addition my patio had dropped a few inches... The Atlas workers drilled 11 holes in my basement floor and pumped their concrete-like solution to raise and level various areas that had fallen. After they were done the area around the basement was close to being level, but it is close. There was only so much they could do since the area around the bathroom was near a sewer line, but they were able to raise the drywall to the ceiling.. I was surprised at the amount of solution they had to pump under the floor.. After the work was completed the workers cleaned up the area as well as their equipment.. I was impressed as well as things went.... My only complaint was due to a mix up I had to wait over 6 months (the winter months) for the project to start..
Everyone was great, from Mike, to Michelle in the office, to the guys that did the heavy labor.
I got several bids for this job, and nobody could beat Mike's price.
Michelle, the office manager, was very nice, professional, and responsive in our communications.
The guys were also nice, professional, punctual, and they cleaned up their messes. They even restored the landscaping to how it was (or at least the best they could considering what they had to do around the foundation). They really worked their a***s off.
Hopefully I'll never have to have something like this done again, but if I did, I won't hesitate to go with Atlas. They were awesome.
They showed up on time and cleaned up the work area to what it was before they started work.
I would hire them again, for sure.
