John was great! He gave us a bid quickly, and he was able to get the work done very quickly as well. He is very nice to talk to, and he was great about keeping us updated on the day he would be out. I'm happy we found a great electrician. We will definitely hire him again!

West County Electric (John) was called upon a recommendation from another contractor who was not available to do the work I required. I contacted John to make an appointment for the first service, at which time we set a date to correspond with his availability. It took a couple of calls to make the arrangements.
John arrived and conducted his preliminary review of the problem, and determined the receptacle had partially melted and needed replacement. In addition, John recommended that we replace the older 3-prong 220V receptacle with a 4-prong. Plus, we agreed to replace the aluminum wiring for the circuit with copper. John ordered the parts and returned to complete the work two days later.
That evening, when we attempted to use the dishwasher the appliance seemed to have no power. We suspected the power loss might be due to the circuit change, since the house is older and may have had some unusual wiring from previous owners. We called John the next day to return and determine the cause of that issue to ensure the new circuit was not the cause.
It took several calls to make the arrangements for the second visit, and was scheduled within a few day. A conflict with our family schedule required that we move the date of the second visit, which proved to be a challenge for John who was working another job at a distance from our home. For the date finally agreed to, John made an extra effort to come to the house late one evening to determine the cause of the dishwasher problem. As it turned out, the electrical was fine and it was a fault in the dishwasher that required repair from a GE techician.
The overall quality of the work was excellent, with the only the challenge being the scheduling of the visits.
