Tom and his crew did an excellent job. He listened to what I wanted accomplished and they really transformed the front of our house. The curb appeal, of the house, is so much nicer now -- it even looks much more inviting. I whole-heartedly recommend Tom and his company, Signature Landscapes & Design. I will definitely used their services again.

Great but half way through we had a down pour and he stayed and finished it was almost 7 when he left. The next day they planted my rose bushes and a hydrangea bush to replace a dead one.

I contracted for this service (16 hours of labor) in mid-May 2015. I did a quick walk-around with a company representative and provided a detailed list of tasks to be done, mostly weeding and cutting back of plants in beds around the house and yard and trimming some low-growing tree limbs that were projecting into our parking area.
The service could not be scheduled until the second week of June due to the contractor's schedule. Once the crew finally came out, they did a very nice job, including cutting back some very overgrown and thorny rose bushes. Weeds were hand-pulled for the most part, and bed borders were nicely edged. In general, there was a lot of satisfying attention to detail from the crew. The labor was slightly over the contracted 16 hours; I'm waiting to see the final tally.
The only other point I would add is that I asked a couple of times about spraying our brick walks with herbicide and purchasing and spreading new mulch for some of the beds, but this was not done on the day of the service. I brought it up again when I saw that it wasn't getting done, and they will be back out in the coming week.

We were very pleased all around. Tom was personable, easy going, and seemed to understand our needs. Our yard is very large and Tom understood our desire to do projects in stages. We liked the drawing/plan he provided and a detailed breakdown of the cost. When we are ready to move forward, we'll definitely hire Tom.

From the start, Tom was very responsive and communicated very well. He had great ideas for our yard but also listened to our ideas as well. After coming up with a plan and a price estimate, we signed the contract and started finalizing the details. Tom really went the extra mile to make sure that the products we were choosing were what we wanted and even came back to the house multiple times to review details before ordering the stone. One of the best things that Tom did was to show us how some different options would change the costs, because it let us choose which "extras" we wanted to pay extra for.
Once the materials arrived (the stone had to be custom ordered), the work was scheduled and started on time. Tom and his crew were prompt and worked hard to get the job done once it was started. There were a couple of very minor weather delays, but those were completely understandable given the rains we have had this spring, and Tom stayed in close communication the entire time.
We will certainly use Signature Landscape Design again if we add more landscaping/hardscaping to the back yard in the future, and I will be recommending them to our friends and family as well.

I truly would not feel comfortable using another company. I have full trust in Tom and his crew. They truly feel like part of the family. I hated to leave my old house because my of my backyard. If I could have moved it with me I would have. In our current home he is making our home just as wonderful. Tom has wonderful ideas and I can TRUST him and his crew. They work hard and give you what you pay for.

Tom was great! I needed to get my lawn and beds cleaned up to get ready to sell the house quickly. He showed up when he said he would be there and even called on his way over. He did the work very quickly and cleaned up the mulch stains on the street. The lawn and beds looked great.

Excellent quality work all around. The patio is pavers, rock seating wall and pergola. Tom was really helpful meeting all my questions/changes and "oops I want to add this". The work team was on time everyday. They did not skimp on materials even though I had a budget we had to stick to. Tom's follow up was excellent during the design and idea phase. We have not gotten to the landscape phase yet but he came up with some great creative suggestions to build more of a "berm" in my open backyard to block the view from the street. I have a perfectionist engineer for a husband and he was impressed with the quality of the final product.

The estimate was broken down to show the cost for the front yard, side yard, and back yard. Along with the estimate, I supplied you a detailed drawing showing all the plant material and landscape beds that we were proposing. The estimate was shown all on one page. I suppose I could have sent three separate estimates for the work."

Scheduling the assessment was hard to do as I guess they were busy with "big deal" sales. When he did come out, he was very nice and professional. He also had good ideas. Obtaining the drawings was harder than I expected with a long lapse in time. Again, perhaps it was because of the number of "big deal" sales. I was interested in more than just the drawings---I wanted someone to perform the work. My experience with the company on obtaining the drawings and the long lapse/unresponsiveness led me elsewhere to get this work done. Of course, that company provided free drawings along with their estimate and I didn't use the drawings provided by this company--a wasted $49 for me.

I have to say I was surprised by this review as we had numerous emails back and forth trying to set up a time that would work within your schedule. On May 21st I tried to set up a meeting with you for the first week of June. You said that wouldn't work and that you would get back to me. You contacted me on June 24th to set up a time. We were able to get together on July 10th. I sent you a color rendered drawing 6 days later. On July 20th this was your reply: Hi Tom thanks for sending this. Sorry for the delay....we have been reviewing and chatting. There are many things we like about it. We like the "vibe" you are capturing! We would like to see a firepit incorporated. We also forgot to mention that we would like to have the option of a pergola at a later time....over the patio area most likely. We would like to consider a bit more landscaping around the perimeter of the patio nearest the house. The area with grass and pavers isn't something we had thought about but we both liked it and are open to it! look forward to your additional ideas---we think you are capturing the spirit of our home very well. On August 1st I sent you a revised drawing incorporating the additional things that you wanted shown in the landscape. I gave you some budget numbers to think about. I asked you if you would like to set up another time for us to get back together. I did not hear back from you and that was our last correspondence."
