RTR ROOFING LLC

John Harber and his team were very professional and did an excellent job replacing the original roof.  I contacted John and two other roofing companies; I went with John and his bid was the lowest.  John explained the differences in the type of shingles, why roof "felt" covering was important, and was very knowledgeable about the entire process.
His team of roofers were very professional, polite, and meticulous about cleaning up after the job. I found no shingles or roofing nails on my property after they were finished. John personally inspected the job after it was completed to ensure the work was finished to my satisfaction. I would high recommend him and his team.

RTR was very responsive initially and did the job very quickly. Initially I was satisfied, until I realized they had forgotten to put metal covers over my attic vents, as we had discussed. Several calls to the company later, they still hadn't come out to complete the job. (I had already paid my bill in full before I realized they hadn't completed this small portion of the job.) Four months after the roof was put on, I noticed a leak and plaster damage in my dining room. I know this is new because I re-plastered the walls myself after the roof had been replaced. Since they have a warranty, I called them again several times to come and fix the roof - and I have yet to hear back from them. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and am awaiting a response. If they actually come and finish/fix the job, I will be satisfied with them. But their lack of response has been incredibly frustrating - so be forewarned.

RTR served as the subcontractor. Roof and tuckpointing were the first jobs on my rehab. When I came to inspect the work, I found a sizable hole in the ceiling where a worker stepped through. The hole was fixed. Then, few months later, I noticed moisture coming through the wall in 2 areas where there was no issue before the new roof was installed. Dumb me, I waited a year to contact the GC when I noticed two other areas. I called the general contractor who put in contact with RTR. After several calls, a sales rep. came to see the problems. He rain through the house... I called RTR. The sales rep. told me that there was nothing wrong with the roof. He suggested I needed tuckpointing. (The house was tuckpointed when the roof was initially installed.) I suggested to him that maybe the house needed chimney caps. He told me he'd be out in a week to give me an estimate. That was 3-4 weeks ago!

Received an estimate for three tab shingles and for an upgrade to architectural shingles. The owner, John, was responsive to questions and brought over shingle boards for us to look at the colors and styles. After the style and color were selected, the work was done in a timely manner. The roof looks great after changing it from a three tab shingle to architectural shingles.

I have been ready without contact from this company, for 3 months. The company that provided the material, even tried to contact yesterday.
