The street seemed to go fairly well. I'm not a concrete expert, but it looked as though they put down a good gravel base and packed it well. Also used rebar in it all. However, at the curb side where the street ends and the yards begin, its no where near a straight edge. It "waves" as you look down the street line. The real complaint I have is with the sidewalks. They replaced several sections in front of my house. The surfaces where the old meets the new are smooth so there is no tripping hazard while walking down the sidewalk. But the edges are horrible. All of them are at least 1/2 inch off. In some cases as far as 2 inches off. I saw the forms the night before and thought they had just laid them roughly in place and would finish them in the morning. I was wrong. Instead of running the forms past the edges of the existing sidewalk and using them as a guide, they just butted them up against it. Also, the forms were 2-4 inches higher that the top of the sidewalk. There was no gravel base underneath either. When they poured it, they just eye balled it and leveled it with a hand tools. I suspect it will not last at all. I walked around the neighborhood to look at some of the other areas and they were just as bad. In fact, there was at least one spot where their forms didn't even meet. Rather than using a long enough board to span the space, they just laid a couple board end to end with no anchors to hold them. As a result, there where sections with zig-zags on the edge. The county did come back and make them replace the worst ones, but there are still plenty of spots that show shoddy workmanship. I would never hire this company to do any work for me based on what they did here.
Description of Work: This company was contracted by St. Louis county to tear up and replace the concrete in most of my subdivision. They also were contracted to do most of the sidewalks at the same time.
