What should one say about a company that would be willing to install a water heater without remedying an issue that would VOID THE WARRANTY? This is the case for an interaction I had with Beis Plumbing today. I called to arrange getting an estimate for the installation of a new water heater. I found that their standard procedure is to give a phone quote and no home visit. Admittedly, other companies have a similar policy. When I explained that an in-home estimate from another company identified a water pressure problem that could affect the longevity of the water heater and quite possibly result in a failed inspection, I was told that they could just add the cost of a Pressure Control Valve to the phone quote. I stated that I was not comfortable with simply getting a phone bid. How could an accurate quote be given without reviewing the location for the installation and other possible issues? But, I sent the 2 photos of the water heater that they requested. A short time later, I received a call from a Beis representative wanting to give me a quote for the water heater and installation. She was aware that I wanted an in-home visit and told me that they would require a $95 charge for such a visit. I explained that I am not willing to pay $95 for a quote that I may or may not accept. The call ended amicably and I crossed Beis Plumbing off of my list. A short time later, I received another call from a Beis representative. The guy said he was calling to give me a quote on the installation of a water heater. I told him that I had already spoken with someone from his company and I relayed the same information I gave to the previous representative. I also told him that I am not comfortable because if I had not known about the water pressure issue and told them, I would have received an unwanted surprise of a large add-on cost at the time of installation. It was at that point, he stated something that made my jaw drop. This guy had the audacity to tell me that I would not be required to have the water pressure issue resolved. Beis would still do the install. He then went on to state that WARRANTY ON THE WATER HEATER WOULD JUST BE VOID. I was flabbergasted that a representative of a company would tell a prospective customer that the company would install a product knowing that the warranty would be void. When I asked him why a customer would want a product installed knowing that the warranty would be void, he stated that he was ending the call. To me, this indicates a willingness to perform sub-standard work as long as they could point the finger at the customer. Would you want such a company doing work for you?

Joe the plumber came out on time calling to say he was on the way. He was so helpful, courteous, and professional. He did an excellent job and went above and beyond. We asked if he could come back and do another job for us. We would highly recommend him. The company was excellent in getting someone who happened to be Joe to us quickly.

Joe was great! He was able to come out just a few hours after I reached out to Beis. He explained what needed to be done, including a code update, and efficiently completed the project. He was very easy to work with.

Beis took a look at it, same day. They were honest and told us no repairs were even needed. It was just a bit stuck. Professional and courteous.

It went very well! Joe arrived promptly and I explained what was needed and soon he was joined by Tony. They dug very neatly to expose the water leak and repaired the pipe, taking great care to refill the exposed area. They then spread new grass seed before covering the area with straw. Joe then listened while I explained another potential problem, saying he would mention it in the office and I would get a quote for that also. Judging on the work done already I would not hesitate to recommend them, and I'm sure they will perform the additional work just as well. I gave a 'good' rating on price because no one ever likes this type of expense but Beis Plumbing has my business - my grass has grown and I could not be more pleased!

So I was really apprehensive about hiring a plumber. I didn't want to get taken to the bank for an outside water line (it was encased in concrete and about 2 1/2 feet down) but I needed this done and was unable to fix it myself. I called Beis Plumbing and the first person I interacted with was Jessica. She was wonderful. She was courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable. She did not mind spending time on the phone with me to answer my questions and was prompt to return my calls. So she set it up that someone would come out and give me a quote. The next day I believe, Charlie, showed up at my house. I know he spent every bit of 45 minutes there but the problem only took 10 minutes to look at. The rest of the time we discussed his business, life, growing up and then back to plumbing. I could not have been happier with Charlie. What great customer service skills. He took the time to get to know a little about us and made us feel more comfortable with him. Jessica gave me my quote the next day (Charlie wanted time to go over things in his head to assure he would be able to get it done for what I could afford). We set up to have the job completed on Friday but on Thursday they called and asked if they could start on it because another job was pushed back. They sent Tony out to do the job. Let me tell you he is indeed a wonderful, hard working, ethical, responsible, trustworthy individual. (I really could go on this way about everyone I have met or talked to from Beis Plumbing.) he worked very quickly and when he noticed something not setting up the way he would have liked, instead of burying it and moving on, he cut the line, ran back to home depot, and fixed it in a more sturdy manner. He cleaned up all of his mess and was very polite during our whole interaction. So if your looking for a company with high ethics, hard workers, great customer servcice and a all around good experience for a lousy situation, then Beis Plumbing is for you. Beis Plumbing was first to call about the job, as I ask for 4 different quotes from Angie's List. Sam at Beis called immediately and asked for pictures and within 10 minutes I had a quote. Other 3 companies? 1 quote on price of service call, 1 no response, and 1 call too late. the whole process took less than 3 hours. The job itself took Tom the Plumber about fifteen minutes as the valve only had to be repacked. I would highly recommend Beis Plumbing LLC based upon the quick and easy solution to my needed repair.

Well, prompt and professional

My house was for sale and we had a list of items to have fixed from the inspections. I lucked out on finding Charlie Beis through a recommendation and he did not disappoint. Very professional and great communication. Of course best of all, he was affordable and did a great job fixing our leaking toilet, furnace, water heater and replacement of sump pump. Quick and painless, highly recommend!

Beis was flexible enough to accommodate me on the same day with short notice. We had a tenants whose hot water heater stopped working. Beis arrived and quoted me one price including labor and when they later discovered that another part would also need to be replaced, the only additional charge was for the part itself. The office staff was very pleasant and was willing to coordinate the logistics of the work with me after hours. That degree of service can be invaluable for a landlord.
