The receptionist told me she would text me back to let me know the approximate time to expect the repairman to call me back, I didn't receive a text. Two hours later I get a phone call from the repairman, he's at the house to perform what I feel was a simple repair that took him less than an hour (replacing a valve on a leaky shower faucet). I was charged $268. That seems pretty inflated to me. I didn't argue the price, but for less than one hour of labor and parts, that I would imagine were less than $100; $268 seems steep. I won't be using them again, as there are many choice for plumbers in the area.

Service went well. Appointment was slated between 2:00 to 5:00. Provider called at 2:05 to say he was on his way. Work was done efficiently and no mess was left. Provider was friendly and helpful.

Plumber was a bit late for first call of day around ~9:30am, when I was expecting closer to 8-8:30am.  I had to make a couple of calls to the office before I got an estimated arrival time, so we could plan morning bathroom time for three adults around.  All went smoothly after that.  Problem was shower water would turn to scalding hot if water was used at same time in any other area of home.  He quickly diagnosed problem as worn or failed pressure valves in each of the four tub/shower faucets in the home originally installed in 1986.  He gave a price to replace all four, but it was more than we could swallow at once, especially since other two two bathrooms are seldom used for showering.  Although I suffered a bit of "sticker shock", I agreed to proceeding with installation of basic level replacement faucets.  Zack said he had another job promised for that morning but that he could return after lunch to install the faucets.  He returned as promised and began work.  He accessed the first faucet valve by cutting a small 10" x 10" hole in drywall from behind.  The second was not acccessible from behind, and he had to replace from front cutting a horizontal oblong hole in tub/shower.  The front access is supposed to be more time consuming, so they charge ~$60 more than rear access.  Actually, both jobs took about an hour each.  He did basic clean-up as mutually agreed, and I followed with more extensive cleaning after he left to pass my wife's cleanliness standards.
Overall, I found this service call to be a positive experience and would use this plumbing service again.  The problem was resolved in one day, and they give you a reasonable warranty of 5-yeaars parts and labor.  Zack was very pleasant and professional and kept me informed.  He even tolerated a few of my stories and corny jokes.  Plumbing is expensive folks, but I believe you get what you pay for.

Dave was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Saved us from having to waste more money down the road and from staying with our original plumber who was just trying to steal mi ney from us.

It all went very well indeed! Micah Maddox, the Plumb Magic technician, arrived right on time and he serviced the problem right quickly. I was fearful about what this problem (sewer gas odor) was going to cost as I imagined the worst, but it turned out well enough. After working a little Plumb Magic on the drains and opening them up with water pressure, Micah noted there was no trap on my washer. This was something neglected by the guys who installed my furnace a couple years ago. He installed a trap as needed and I am hoping and praying that will do the trick. Micah was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed each other's company as Micah finished the job. Nothing is guaranted of course, but I'm thinking he diagnosed the problem correctly. We'll see how it goes tonight. I don't smell anything at the moment, but then all the windows are open. That smell was driving me crazy! I think I got off easy considering. I mean when you contract someone to do a job for you, it can get scary. I've had estimates twice now on other jobs when the craft guys will find complications or additional problems which can raise the cost considerably and it feels like a kick in the head. I mean you are so vulnerable at that moment. This is when it becomes so important to have a clear explanation or else. Thankfully, not in this case. Also, Rose Anne, the Plumb Magic contact gal, couldn't have more patient, informative and reassuring over the phone, which is something very much appreciated when you're making that call for help and you're worried . . . What next?
Finally, let me say I'm an old guy on a fixed income so I have to count my pennies and sometimes it feels like every job costs too much (c'est la vie) yet Angie's List has been very helpful so far. Thank you Angie's List for your service. Peter B.

They went fast and friendly. I thought they were a little bit on the pricey side but guess plumbing work is like that.

They were very professional and I was very please with the service. They provided me with a service guarantee if they have to return to replace something they repaired. I used a company before that did a poor job on my pipes and the contractor from Benjamin Franklin came out and fixed the pipe so it won't freeze again during winter months. If I need plumbing services again, they will perform the work and I high recommend them.

The Ben Franklin people displayed professionalism, dedication to the task and real interest in the client's project, from the precisely detailed proposal, the arrangement of a three-payment plan and the pleasant way they performed the tasks. I was genuinely pleased with the way the men took time to compliment me on what I had accomplished between the periods of their involvement.
They arrived every time well-equipped and with sufficient supplies, so that the work was never delayed for restocking.
Except for the first stage, when only one man was needed for ditching and laying of  drain pipes, there always were two men, working as a team.
About the cost: Their standard order form lists 5  different levels of tasks and their individual pricing. Comparing the size of this bathroom project to those tasks/rates, I feel that BF was  very reasonable in their pricing.
