Tree Service
The visit for the proposal went well and everything was spelled out in the proposal. Then I tried to get a call to schedule an appointement for the work but the arborist kept calling my home number when I told the lady in the office to have him call my cell # because I was at work. Finally, had to call the head guy/brother and he made the appointment for me for Tues, Apr 24. When they showed up to do the work, everything went fine until all the tree trimming and cleanup was nearly done. So, I went out and pointed out that the dead branches high up on the elm that extended into my yard from my neighbors elm need to be cut back also. The guy went back up and cut the one dead branch, but not the other one that was pushed up against the my spruce tree. I didn't push the point on the second branch that was pushed up on the spruce because it was up so high--that was my mistate--I should have demanded they cut both back. A couple days later, that same branch fell down on its own into my yard and the arborist came back out and found that the elm branch had rot in it and he wanted to quote me an additional $100 to come and cut it up and haul it off. When I told him I felt it was part of the proposal, he first tried to push back, but then said he wasn't going to argue--it' wasn't worth it. So, he said he would let his brother know to come back and do the job. I called that brother and he said he would be there the next day, but never showed. I tried calling them several times after that, but never got anyone to return my calls. I stopped calling and contacted another tree svc that took care of the job at my cost.
