+ 2 moreThe quality of the work is superb. Henges were more expensive than our other quotes, but they are well worth it. We are delighted with what they've produced and will be using them to refinish our 1st floor hardwood floors.
Description of Work: Henges laid new hardwood floors on our 2nd floor and a new tile floor in our kitchen, in addition to tiling our bathrooms as a subcontractor with another project.

+ -1 moreTHE RAMP IS FINE. WE HAD TO INSIST ON AN EXTRA SANDING AND AN EXTRA COAT OF FINISH IN THE DRESSING ROOM IN ORDER TO HAVE A SMOOTH FLOOR. THE UPSTAIRS PATCH LOOKS LIKE A PATCH. THE STAIN DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO MATCHING THE REST OF THE FLOOR. THEY ASSURED US THAT THE COLOR WOULD DARKEN AND EVENTUALLY MATCH. THE WORK WAS DONE 6 MONTHS AGO AND THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE COLOR. BOARDS WERE PUT IN WITHOUT ROOM FOR EXPANSION. SOME ARE ALREADY CRACKING. THE DOWNSTAIRS REPAIR WORK IS A DISASTER. THEY SIMPLY REPLACED THE EXISTING PATCHES WITH NEW WOOD AND MADE NO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE DAMAGED WOOD AROUND THE PATCHES AS WE HAD REQUESTED. THE STAIN ON THE NEW WOOD DOESN'T MATCH THE REST OF THE FLOOR & AGAIN THEY INSISTED THAT IT WOULD DARKEN. STAIN WAS SLOPPED ONTO THE EXISTING FLOOR AROUND THE PATCHES. WE WITHHELD PART OF THE PAYMENT AND REQUESTED THAT THE WORK BE REDONE. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANY FURTHER WORK.
Description of Work: WE ARE REHABBING A 118 YEAR OLD HOUSE THAT HAS HAD MANY ADDITIONS AND CHANGES BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT. NEW WOOD FLOORING WAS INSTALLED IN A DRESSING ROOM. A RAMP WAS INSTALLED TO ACCOMMODATE A LEVEL CHANGE BETWEEN OLD AND NEW CONSTRUCTION. HENGES INSTALLED WOOD FLOORING TO FILL IN GAPS WHERE WE HAD REMOVED WALLS UPSTAIRS. TWO PREVIOUSLY PATCHED AND DAMAGED AREAS OF WOOD FLOORING WERE TO BE REPAIRED AND REPLACED IN THE LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM.
