Floor Trader

We checked with many stores for our new carpet. We chose Floor Trader (which is changing names) and used the O'Fallon, MO., store.  Galvin, the Salesman, was really great. He was patient and showed us a lot of options, allowing us to take samples home to see how they went in our home. $4500.00 carpet and pad for entire upstairs... 4 bedrooms, hall, and stairs. Other places wanted $6-8,000. We also had new vinyl in the master bath installed for $450 and all of this included labor with furniture moving and old carpet removal.  Their contractor's who did the labor were professional and helpful and worked very hard. They moved
tons of stuff upstairs without a complaint. Our master ended up having a plumbing problem so the contractors gave us a name of someone who came right out and fixed it so the vinyl could be installed.  You pay Floor Tracers for half of your materials and then pay the guys doing the labor separately, which I like. There is no chance of getting a lien placed on your home because a contractor does not get paid.   We are thrilled with our new carpet. We will be getting wood on the first floor after the 1st of the year and are using Floor Trader in O'Fallon for that install also.

There were no problems with the service, they were good to work with.

We went to the S Lindbergh location. The salesperson was very helpful and knowledgable. Offered to let us take samples home to see how they looked in our house. That turned out to be very helpful because once we saw samples that we thought we liked in the store we didn't like them at all when they were actually in our kitchen. Found the perfect one, ordered it with only $50.00 down. It came in less than a week later, Installer called right away and we had our floor in that week. The only issue was the install took 2 days instead of 1 as we were originally told. But it was thru no fault of the installer, I think someone called in sick or something. We only use floor trader for flooring and the installers both times were great.

They had a great selection in stock, so we were able to have the materials delivered quickly. The sales team was great, too, and we appreciated that they didn't try to pressure us or to upsell us.

Very professional job. Contractor came back quickly when we had one small issue which they corrected.
