Cabinets & Granite Inc. also specializes in maple cabinetry, including removal and installation. The cabinets come with soft close, standard dove-tailed drawers at no extra cost. The cabinetry is priced 20 to 30 percent lower when compared to other retailers. Once finally started, the cabinets were not finished and I was expected to simply pay the balance! Not only were the installers dirty and damaged many things, there was a huge communication barrier as they didn't speak much english. To date I have yet to have the cabinets finished (including handles, doors, trim, and more). The counter is not even level! The granite seems are in the worst places and extremely noticeable. You truly get what you pay for!
The old vanity had been removed and the wall area had been repaired and painted above the vanity area. The first vanity was installed and my walls were all scratched/scarred up on 4/10/14. They did not repair the walls. The vanity had two different colored sinks in it,( a white one and a cream one). In addition to this, it has a crack in it, and the edges were uneven/chipped. The sales person was notified and came over to inspect it. She called her manager and they discussed it and a new vanity was ordered. I had to wait two days for receipt of the new vanity top. The second vanity arrived on 4/12/14 and was installed only to find a crack in it and uneven/chipped edges. The crack was in the same area as the first vanity top. At this time, the regional manager was called. She came out the following Tuesday and she inspected it and agreed that it was chipped and damaged. At that time, the third vanity was ordered and she promised to inspect it prior to shipment. The third vanity arrived on 4/21/14 and was found acceptable after a scratch was buffed out.
Communicating with the installers was difficult because they did not have command of the English language. This made the entire experience trying.
I had another company, (Graniterra) install granite in my home several years ago. I had no problems whatsoever with the installation or product of that company. I decided to go with Cabinets and Granite Inc.(Fairview Heights, IL) because it was located close to my house and I wanted to give local companies business. A big mistake. I will not use them again and I would not recommend them to anyone.
On installation day, the men were here at 9 a.m. sharp. They brought in floor coverings to keep my flooring as clean as possible and then brought in the cabinets. After installing the cabinets, they cleaned them out thoroughly. I have a huge kitchen window, and the windowsill made it impossible for the granite backsplash to fit properly. Another piece of granite was brought to the work site and cut to be my new windowsill and it looks beautiful.
The men were meticulous in their work and tried very hard to keep everything clean. Before leaving, they did clean the cabinets and granite and gave us some advice about our new kitchen island. My floors were cleaned and they picked up everything outside where they were cutting.
I would highly recommend them to everyone. I am absolutely thrilled with my new kitchen - it is beautiful! The quality of the cabinets and granite combined with the superb installation makes them an A++! I would not hesitate to use them again; as a matter of fact, I hope I get the opportunity to do so.
I highly recommend Cabinets and Granite Inc.and everyone that we worked with at the Florissant location; Tiara, that suggested the cabinets and granite that we decided on (we picked something else out, but what she suggested was much better - thank you) and Aurdra that came to measure and designed our layout - we had to stay with the same "footprint" of cabinets, but she came up with an excellent design that not only looks better but is much more functional. The installation crew amazed me with their hard work and great skill to not only accomplish the 1 day promise, but also their attention to detail to make our kitchen look better than we ever imagined!
