I had a difficult tree in my yard. It was mostly dead and sat very close to my house. I consulted a friend in the landscaping business who does the occasional small tree removal- told me he was not comfortable with this particular tree, and strongly recommended a "real"  tree service  who was insured. (Hint taken!)  
I called B&N and we ended up playing a bit of phone tag, but  he was able to give me a quote from a picture I'd sent.  This was on Thursday afternoon. On Friday morning, one of the guys called me- they were headed toward the area and would stop by and knock our job out on the way. Two guys arrived with a bucket truck and lots of awesomeness, because by the time I finished my cup of coffee, the tree was lying on the ground. Now I've got some work to do cutting up the tree.
I read the other reviews regarding response times, and don't know if they have fixed the problem, or if I am just fortunate, but either way, I have no complaints. I would use them again.

Did a good job on the tree removal but had a very difficult time getting a response on WHEN they would do it. Spent a lot of time on phone calls and leaving messages that doesnt always get returned. Nice people and did a good job but if youre on a time frame you will probably need to go somewhere else

Their work and their speed of work was very good and the workers were very professional and polite.  The PROBLEM is IF and WHEN they will ever show up as they promise they will on a specific date.  I used them once about a year ago and since then, every time I've called and they said they'd show up, they don't and I end up waiting months for them to respond - which they didn't.  When I call them up again to find out if they're coming out - they promise me again and give me a date or week they'll be out, and AGAIN they never show up.  I'd rather use a more expensive company because at least I'd be more sure they would show up as scheduled.  This company isn't worth the wait because they will most likely NOT show up because if your job doesn't pay as good as the other ones they have lined up, you'll be waiting for over a year like I did.

Terific-- the called to say they were on their way. Showed up exactly when they said they'd be here. Not damage to structural property. The lawn was tore up a little, but that's to be expected. The ground was wet and very soft.
