I called him on a Friday, he came to bid the job on Saturday morning. Asked for a $400 advance on a $1,000 bid for materials and committment money, which I gave him. Performed the work on Monday and Tuesday. As a side note - he would not have been able to do the job for a couple of weeks if I hadn't moved forward with it for the Monday/Tuesday slot he had open. Did a great job. This is the second job I had him do as the first one went very well also. Paid the balance due on completion and was very pleased with his work. I found him as he had done some work for a neighbor. I wish all of my experiences with people I've hired to work on my home were as positive as they were with Nicholas Whistler Plastering.
Description of Work: Patched plaster in 4-5 places where it was cracked in my living room and in the stairwell to the basement. Applied coating of a product (Thermaseal? Theraseal? not sure exactly) to entire basement wall, covering flaws and leaving a nice, clean white sandy finish on the walls.
