Mark and his team showed up early every morning and worked steadily throughout the day. The crew was friendly and professional. They tore down the existing deck and replaced with a wood deck, our preference. The entire project was completed in about 4 days.
I would not hesitate to use Mark and his team again, and highly recommend him.

The guys from Mark Hicks were great. They were very precise and consistent. They had a builder crew and a painter crew. When they were done, Mark came out and checked the work and found some parts that were not good and he had them come back and redo some things. It was awesome.

Our 25 year old cedar deck was in need of major repair due to weathering and carpenter ants. We had several companies bid the job with each contractor unable to give an exact estimate since the structural portions of the deck were not visible. Mark Hick's carpenters were on site within a week of awarding the contract. They found major damage in the structural framework, and provided us with immediate suggestions and cost. Despite the unforeseen carpentry work required, they finished the job in a timely manner by working overtime and the weekend at no extra cost. We were most impressed with their and quot;littleand quot; finishing touches that made the entire deck look like new. We will definitely be hiring them in the future for deck staining and any other home repair jobs we might have. They are an extremely professional company eager to ensure the satisfaction of their customers.

I had to get my brother's house on the market to settle his estate. I did not know who to contact in that area that would be reliable, fair and do a good job for me. I could not be there the entire time and was concerned about the trustworthiness of contractors in my absence. I found him on Angie's list, along with others. Mark and his crew were prompt, and relieved my concerns about the situation. He was fair in his pricing and kept me informed of his progress, any problems and solutions. It was such a relief to find someone to do the job right the first time around. When a problem came up after he finished the job, he quickly took care of it. I would not hesitate to call them again or to refer them to someone needing his services.

He was a Christian man, and he was very nice. His work was good. His responsiveness was excellent. I would recommend him to others.

I have a large cedar deck that needed quite a few boards replaced and then a total staining done. I saw Mark's ad in the Arnold Leader and gave him a call. He came over and wrote me up an estimate on the spot. I told him I had had it restained about two years ago and I still had some of that left and he asked to see the can so he could be sure to match the stain. Without getting any other bids (my sainted father would have throttled me) - I hired him on the spot (just had a good feeling). He showed up on the day we had agreed upon and the work was completed exactly when the estimate said it would be. The final cost was actually $190.00 less than his estimate. I suspect a lot of other contractors might have just pocketed that difference - but Mark's final invoice to me showed where he saved the money and I really appreciate being handled in a fair manner. Mark and his worker did an excellent job and I would hire them again in the future.
