Brake Stump Removal

Responded to my inquiry within 24 hours. Was able to inspect, price out, and remove the large tree stump in question in the next 6 hours after contact. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs any landscaping/tree service work.

It went very well and as described. Needed to have Dig Rite come before work could be completed, but once they marked Brake Stump Removal came out and did the work efficiently.

John was very, very responsive answering the call, providing the estimate and completing the work.  He did a great job removing the stumps and cleaning up. I would highly recommend him and would use him again.

I called Brake on a Wednesday, had an estimate by Thursday and the roots were removed on Saturday after I couldn't get the original contractor out to finish the job. Quick work and very reasonable price.

This is the fifth tree that he has removed from my front and back yard in 3 years. His cost each time was WAY under the big business firms that remove trees and I did not have wait weeks before the job could be done!

Called Blake Stump Removal in the morning of April 30th and they were out here by 3:30 pm had a three stumps removed, areas cleaned up and gone within an hour and a half. Very friendly, prompt, they did a great job. Would not hesitate to use they again and would highly recommend them.

I called on Friday and was told that John Drake could come the next day (Saturday), at 1:00 p.m., give an estimate and could do the work then if we wanted it. He arrived at 1:00 p.m. sharp, gave an estimate we were pleased with, and then proceeded to do an excellent job. We would definitely use Brake Stump Removal again.

It has been well over 5 years since we had our Bradford Pear removed by Mr. Brake, but it was customer service that I will never forget. My husband and I were having lunch in a Long John Silver on Manchester on a weekend around 2006. We recently had a bad storm through the area that split our Bradford Pear right down the middle, with one part on our roof. We had been trying to get it out of the ground on our own, to no avail. Even with a large SUV and chain, it would not budge. We had about given up, and decided that we were going to have to clean up as much of it was we could without getting it out of the ground. Then having lunch at, I noticed a man that was wearing a shirt advertising stump grinding. We waited until he and his family were getting ready to leave when we approached him. John was very courteous. He told us he didn't usually do work in the Franklin County area. (We were in Pacific at the time), that he was located near Festus, but he would certainly come help us. We were expecting to set up a future date, so my husband and I were extremely surprised when he asked if we were going to be home later that day. He came out of his wayin the opposite direction to our house and had that tree out of the ground in less than 30 minutes. He went a step further and proceeded to cut the rest of the tree down enough so we could clear the rest out - which was not part of our verbal quote, nor did he charge us for it. I am quite sure what he charged us that day did not make up for coming that far out of his way, and not to mention to come out on a weekend - which was his family time. My husband and I will never forget it. You do not get service like this just anywhere, He is fair, honest, and goes above and beyond. I just wish I knew people from his service area to recommend him to. To John - thank you so much. Here it is, so many years later and I still have your card because it was such a wonderful experience of service that is difficult to come by.

He did a very thorough job and was very careful about the house which was very close to the stumps.

I had a large tree removed 2 months ago and needed to have its trunk and roots ground down about 8 inches below ground level so that I could have a concrete slab poured for a spa that is going to be delivered soon. Needles to say, I needed this job done quickly. I called several large, well known trunk removal companies first who were booked at least a couple of weeks out. I then called Brake Stump Removal and not only were they able to come out the same day, they were able to do it right then and there. They did an EXCELLENT job and charged me only about half of my other 2 bids. I highly recommend using Brake Stump Removal.

Called several companies to get estimate. John Brake gave me an estimate within 2 days and was the lowest of the 5 bids I received. He got to my property within 2 days and had the stumps removed within an hour. Cleaned up and hauled away debris.

He was very good and did the work a day after looking at it.
