First off, the salesman Russell was great.  Very knowledgeable and informed on all aspects of what he was doing.  I explained his was the first of three bids I was planning to get and he didn't get pushy.  He did still try to close the sale on our first meeting but that's his job.  He was also easy to contact and prompt to return calls.  After talking to him for a while you start to wonder why in the world is this guy selling windows?! (Not knocking window salesmen)  An interesting guy and a big part of the reason I chose Window World.

Next, the windows.  I'm not a home improvement type person, but they seem to me to be very good quality for the price and are a huge improvement over the old 1970's era wooden single pane windows I had.  I could immediately tell a huge difference in how they keep the wind and cold out.  Several of my friends in the construction industry were very impressed with the build and quality when I showed them.  Time will tell further, but based on what I see, and lots of research, they are a huge step above basic builder grade quality.

Last, the installation.  The windows arrived ahead of plan and installation was scheduled quick and easy.  They guys called when they were on the way and arrived on time.  Overall everything went well.  I did ask them to re caulk one of the windows as the bead was pretty ugly and got dirt in it.  They took care of it right away.  I later noticed one of the screens had a tear in it and they came back promptly and took care of it.  Based on my experience, I expect to get good service in the future if needed.

A few small problems.  One of the installers was standing on my front porch smoking.  I believe you should ask the customer first if that's OK.  I did politely ask him not to smoke.  I guess I should have also asked him not to leave cigarette butts in my driveway. When they took the windows off the truck, a bunch of broken glass fell off and was left on my driveway.  Per their paperwork, a normal amount of post construction clean up is the customer's responsibility but broken glass covering the width of my driveway is beyond normal post construction clean up.   I didn't notice that until a few hours later so I just cleaned it up myself but I did contact the project manager and let him know about those issues.  Another thing, as noted on their paperwork, they are not responsible for damage to shrubs or landscaping.   I pointed out a particular shrub to the installer and they said no problem, they could work around it, but it was stepped on and destroyed.

As I stated though, I consider these to be small problems and will be purchasing more windows from Window World in the future and would recommend them.

The estimate was about mid-range for the three companies that I contacted, but what determined my selection was the quality of the product ( low U-factor, solar heat gain coefficient) and the claim of their transferable lifetime warranty on parts and installation. The salesman who gave the estimate had a model of the window to demonstrate the features which was also a good selling point.
Once the contract was signed and 1/2 of the purchase price deposited the windows were delivered in about three and a half weeks.
The installers showed up at about 9 am on the date scheduled and finished at about 5:30 pm.  The windows were installed well and all operated (opened, closed and tilted out) properly.  Following final payment, the next day I did notice there were some areas where they forgot to caulk and intall a bit of flashing on.  The installation supervisor with whom I spoke was very polite and assured me the installers would return to finish my areas of concern.  That was on a Monday and they showed up on Wednesday of the same week and finished.  The quality of the work was good, but they were a little sloppy with their caulking in a few places and their clean up was good but wasn't as thorough as I would have liked, which is why I gave their "Professionalism" rating a C.
Otherwise, not bad.

A sales person came out and showed me what they offered even though he came in a vehicle with the windows installed for 189 logo on it I don't recall the rep saying anything about that price. After a fairly long presentation about the products we got down to dollars and cents I replaced five windows for $289.00 each plus the haul away fee and taxes for a total of around $2450.00 or so and I had to pay half of that at the time the order was placed because the windows are made to order I was told by the rep. A week later the company sent someone out to measure the windows again to make sure the first person got it right( I thought that was smart) . I got a call I guess about a month later to tell me my windows were ready to be installed and we set a date. The installers showed up on time and started taking the old windows out on what had the be most humid day of the summer, I was told they would be installing the windows from the outside and that they would put plastic over the space when the window was taken out but the tape wouldn't stick and after two or three hours withe the windows open in Missouri in June I had every fly in my house that could make it to this part of town. The windows look great and I must say they took their time and now that it's getting cold I can feel the difference . Bottom line with window world they should stop talking about the $189 windows in ads cause I don't think they really have such a product I guess it's just the way they get in the door.

They scheduled a meeting within a few days of my call to inquire about the service. The representative was punctual on that date. He surveyed the proposed project and inquired about our wishes. He then advised me about the alternatives that his company had to offer and the cost of each of them. Finally he prepared for our consideration a proposal outlining what would be done and the total cost. He advised us that the windows would be manufactured elsewhere and that this would take about a month from the date when we accepted the proposal. It eas slightly less thsn four weeks after we signed the contract thst we were told the windows had arrived and that the installation would be done within several days. The company contacted us two days before the project was to start which allowed us to arrange the rooms to provide unrestricted access during the installation.
The workers arrived at mid-morning to start the project and worked through the day, returning for two hours on the next day to complete the work. They were polite, did not disturb us during their work. and clearly were well prepared for the work at hand. They collected all of the old windows and any other materials that were generated and disposed of them.
I was most impressed with the knowledge of their business that all of the WindowWorld employees displayed and that they did their work so unobtrusively.

,Once they came in and started working, they did a great job. They were supposed to call me when they were coming, they didn't. i checked on both phones, there were no calls from them.
I happened to look out my window and saw a truck there, one guy standing on side of it. I opened door and waited for the rest to get out. Guy got in truck and they started to pull out of driveway. I yelled at at him and asked what they were doing. No reply, but stopped truck and got out. As he walked toward house. he said "Window World".
If I hadn't stopped them I would assume that they would not have done my windows.

Awesome, the salesman did not pressure me, I told him what I wanted he gave me a price. He did not try and push me to something more expensive. Just what I asked for. The installers were excellent, did a very nice job, cleaned up after themselves, very courteous and friendly. And did an excellent job, I could not be more satisfied. One of the best experiences with a company I have ever experienced. A++++

Windows World was the only vendor who responded. The salesman was extremely professional and helpful, and got us a quote in a couple of days.Once we ordered, the install crew manager came and verified the final measurements for the order and reviewed the property with me to insure there were no miscommunications on the product sizing etc. Once the product arrived in Columbia, the final install crew was on time, did a very professional job, and answered all our questions in advance of work. When finished they reviewed the work with us and made sure all was as advertised. Overall I can't think of a single complaint and will gladly use this company again.

We had awful old metal windows from the 60's. They had to charge a little extra because they had to tear out all of the metal but we were okay with that because their price overall was the best estimate that we had received. Another reason we decided to go with this company was because they guaranteed to get the whole job done in one day AND we had read other positive reviews. Everyone was super nice and professional. I honestly didn't believe that they could get this job done in a day due to the extra work of having to rip out all of the metal but they did. They actually didn't even take the whole day! They were very respectful of our home and our property and thoroughly covered everything so nothing got dirty. The windows are awesome. When I accidentally popped the window out of it's holder I called and got service right away. They were going to send someone to show me how to fix it and what to do if it happened again but my husband showed me. I called and again to tell them not to come and again got service right away. This company is amazing and if you need a job done well, and want it done quickly, call them!

I thought I would post a follow up now that the windows have been in for a while. After four trips out for the inital install The windows were done. Once they finnaly got the work completed the finished product was very well done and we have not had any problems with the windows. The company did take some off the final bill but there is seldom a reason for poor service upfront. As a installer i give them a "D" grade. As far as the actual product I give them a "A" grade.....
