Sam Easley Remodeling

The work went very well.  We met with Sam, discussed the requirements, and spent some time discussing various gutter-guard options.  Sam was very thorough about gutter guards because of the diversity of products on the market and their varying success.  The work was completed within about 5 days.

Another contractor had told us we would not be able to get a new tub into the bathroom without tiling it and his estimate was quite high.  Mr. Easely cut out the old tub and surround, rebuilt the wall to accomodate the new tub, moved the plumbing over and put in a three piece surround.  It looks great and he did not tear up the ceramic floor that would already in place in the bathroom.  He kept his work area clean and did not make a big mess in the rest of the house.  He also did a great job matching the construction on the porch railing to the existing railing.  He will be the one we call for future projects.

It was a big job and we were very satisfied with the work. This was the second time we've hired him to do work for us. He had remodeled inside our home for our handicapped son. He had built a ramp in back and built a handicap bathroom 3 years prior. We've had a couple of issues with the kitchen. Something was a little crooked so he came back and he touched up some paint. We would hire him back and we have recommended him to other people. He is really reasonable in price. He is not the most expensive or the cheapest; he is right there in the middle. We really liked his work. He cleaned up all the time because the dust was a problem in a big remodel.

In all of the remodeling jobs that Sam worked on, he did a complete analysis of what had to be done. In building a handicapped accessible bathroom, he took the walls of the old bath down, increased the footprint, put in a slanted door to maximize space and he made sure that I knew where he had put 2 x 6 planks around the room to anchor additional rails to. He advised us to widen the doors which accessed the area to 36" (even though 32" is deemed suitable for wheelchair access). The extra inches turned out to be very insightful and we feel fortunate that he made the recommendation. Otherwise we would have had to do the widening later. He could not find a handicap shower to fit into the space so he built a custom shower from tiles. In all of the other jobs that he did for us, he paid close attention to detail and quality. The kitchen remodel he completed this past year was a marvel. He recommended tiles and laid them in a diagonal pattern. It looks stunning and makes the room seem much larger. I could go on and on about the quality and detail of his work. I highly recommend Sam.
