I was very disappointed in the work they did on our house. They are a reputable company who I used several years ago for a new roof and they did a great job. But things must be changing, because the crew they sent to do the siding project was awful. It sucks to be the homeowner who has to vet crews that the company newly subcontracts. I'm upset that the project manager wasn't around more often to catch the shoddy work they were doing. Precision, to their credit, did agree to redo all the window wraps and some of the sloppy siding work. The company offered no apology or offered no pricing adjustment. If you go with this company, get information on the experience of the crew they are sending to your home.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed]- Thank you very much for taking the time to highlight the issue at your daughter's home in Columbia. If there were any way we could have prevented those problems, we would have. Our installation teams are made up of people, and people can make mistakes. I have checked into our records and spoken to the responsible team members. The only good thing about a mistake is the opportunity it creates for reflection and assessment of our process to improve. I believe we went to great lengths and expense to correct the issues with your daughter Amanda. It is my understanding that Matt, the project manager, was forthcoming and apologetic to Amanda about the workmanship not being up to our standards. I know he did his best to identify the problems, develop a plan to correct, and oversee the solution. I am sorry this happened. As both you and your daughter are clients, I will be available to you to work through any issues that remain. I would appreciate a chance to visit with you both and hear your perspective, first hand. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Jim Pellock"

The project went very well. Their representatives were friendly, punctual, professional in explaining the project and executing the project. The work crew was friendly, considerate and professional. Upon inspection we could see details were paid attention to. Good workmanship was done. We could not expect better service or results.

Met Larry & Nicole at Precision office. Project manager, Matt came to my house so I could show him what I needed. Jason was timely polite and cleaned up when he finished. (No mess for me, yooh! ). Matt promptly followed up to validate quality of work and satisfaction.

Talked with the sales person mid-June. Signed agreement mid July. Construction was complete end of October-acceptable. We called a couple of times to get scheduled & complete by end of summer. Final product is worth the wait. The main carpenter seemed an excellent craftsman.

So, it should be clarified that our deck had to be rebuilt twice by this company.  After the first completion, we were extremely happy about the solidity of the new structure and the workman's initiative shown in making small improvements to the overall structure to provide enhance durability and longevity: bolstering the perimeter beams with an extra header joist and the addition of flashing where the deck came into contact to the side of the house as he noticed it was missing from original construction.  Admittedly though there were a few aesthetic details (a few screws that need to be angled better, the sanding of some splintered wood, and the replacement of a board which had a rather larger knot that had already begun to collect water after a rain) that I brought to the attention of the team who displayed prompt responsiveness in the correction of these items.

However, approximately 2 weeks after final completion, during an on-site evaluation performed by the owner of the company, it was noticed that much of the wood, both the cedar-tone deck boards and the railing supports were splitting, and one of the 2 x 4 bottom boards that supported a row of spindles was warping. He took multiple pictures, and went off to discuss this with his team and to talk to his lumber supplier.  He discovered that other wood sold from the same batch had been receiving similar complaints, so the vendor replaced the wood, at which point Precision made a decision to re-do our entire deck at no cost to us.  The team went above and beyond what one would normally expect from a "return" or "replacement" of product.  The structural rail posts were replaced with pure cedar for extra strength instead of the cedar-toned ones. The team re-evaluated the design of the railing system and decided to put in a cleaner more modern product that they had just started to offer their customers, eliminating the need for top and bottom wooden 2 x 4s (and therefore the need to treat and stain said wood!). Also, the stairwell (approx 20 steps) was tidied up much better, fitted with risers, widening the walking space through the elimination of the inner handrail, but instead closing off the remaining gap normally created there by boarding it up with vertical deck boards.  The many small touches (the beveling and rounding of the wood on corners and edges) has really elevated our deck and are testament to the abilities and attentiveness of the Precision team.

So, despite us having to get our deck rebuilt twice, we are extremely happy with the final product, the continual customer service that this company strives to provide.  While the deck is finished and awaiting the drying time period before we stain and seal it, we have been invited to call the team back to come out and inspect the condition again for further product control. This is the type of commitment that one does not often find these days.

I have been very happy with the services Precision has provided.  In particular, Jerry, the Project Manager insured we received the services we requested.  He made sure quality work was completed, listened to our requests, noted/remembered them and made sure they happened.  Jerry added to the work order numerous times in an agreeable and professional manner.  When one of the workers forgot to do one of my requests, Jerry got it done.  When we called six or so months after they performed the work with a few minor issues, Jerry came right away and took care of them.  My husband planned to take care of the issues when he had time, but it was so nice to have Jerry fix of them in such a timely manner and to know they were they were done correctly.  Rarely have I had such a good experience with a contractor and it is appreciated.

They have a high powered salesman come out and tell us how wonderful they are and said that we don't have to worry about anything. So we agree to the contract and then a couple days later they send out a crew of three. They tear off the siding and install housewrap. They obviously didn't know what they were doing because they put the housewrap up in all different directions and didn't tape down the seams like you are supposed to. Then when we questioned it, they told us that we don;t know what we are talking about and to go back inside. They had to wait for the windows to come in, so they left and also left the whole side of the house exposed to the weather. They came back in 3 weeks with the windows and sure enough when they ripped one of the windows out, the new one didn't fit. They had measured incorrectly. So they stuffed the old windows back and we waited another 3 weeks for a new windows. Well, guess what? The windows they they ordered for the second time didn't fit! What a bunch of clowns. They absolutely do NOT know what they are doing , at all!  NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY! BEWARE!!! The only good thing that come out of this is that we got all our money back, but they ruined the side of our house. They put the siding back wrong and it flaps in the wind. They didn't put the windows back correctly and so air gets in and they are crooked. Please be warned, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!

Work order was signed and hands were shook on August 31, 2011 for contractor to install 22 replacement windows. Windows proposed to us were Berkshire Vinyl. Was told that windows would qualify for Boone Electric energy rebates. All we had to do was to have an energy audit performed and provide the proof of the improvements to Boone. The windows were ordered and after a lengthy wait they were installed. It only took two days for the two workers to remove all 22 windows and install the new ones. There were multiple issues with the windows. Most of them were bowed. The contractor sent out a worker to see why. Thought maybe they were measured wrong and were too tight. The worker removed one of the windows. They were measured correctly, but noticed that the installers did not insulate around the window. We had all of the windows removed and inspected to find out that the majority of them had very little to no insulation around them. All of the windows were reinstalled and insulated. However the bowing issue still was there. Precision had a factory rep come out and look at all of the problems.  Problems such as the bowing, sliding mechanisms not working right, finger prints inside between to two panes of glass and weep hole covers missing. The rep even tried to install a rounded weephole cover in a rectangle one and when I pointed it out he said "Picky, picky, picky"!  So even though we were having so many problems with the windows, we gave Precision the go ahead to start our deck project. Part of that project was to remove a large window and cut out some brick and install a custom slider to fit to access the deck. The deck itself turned out good and the sub-contractor that install it was great. However, the slider, which was made by the same manufacturer as the windows, has had  several issues of its own.  So now it's March 2012. After all of the troubles, failed service calls, waiting for answers, being put out to accomodate them, the projects are complete for the most part. The bowing of the windows was remedied be putting a screw in the top and bottom the window frame and installing a cap in the drill hole. To me, this was not an acceptable fix. More like a bandaid. Precision didn't even caulk the screw like the manufacture instructed them to in the bulletin.  When we brought that up to the worker that did all the repairs, he said he was just instructed to put the screws in and that was it. We have not paid the second half of either project yet even though Precision wants us to. We have made them a fair offer to settle on the deck. However, the windows that were supposed to be energy efficient and qualify for the Boone Rebates, well they don't. Their U factor was too high. So now we are out the $200 for the energy audit and will not receive the $500 from Boone Electric because the windows are not efficient enough. This has been nothing but a huge disappointment. Precision has not accepted the offer we made them on the windows. Look like next step is going to court. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!!!! They do not do any of the work themselves. They sub-contract everything. They will not stand up to anything that their sales person says. Beware!!!
