Horton Animal Hospital

We've been taking our 2 dogs and 3 cats to them for about 5 years now. Our first experience with them impressed me so I decided to stick with them. They've always treated our animals with kindness and patience. Our dogs are always happy to greet them and we've always felt comfortable around them. As a former vet tech(while in Nebraska, not in Missouri) I tend to be picky on who treats our pets, but I've only seen excellent technique and professionalism with that necessary human touch that lets you know they care. We don't have a favorite vet because we've had a good experience with all of them. Most of the time our dogs don't even realize they've been vaccinated. They are knowledgeable and good at listening to any concerns. They're good at greeting and interacting with our pets. They're also good natured and willing to answer any questions we've had. I find their prices about average for the area if that's a consideration for you. I trust these people with our pet family members.

Excellent service.  VERY knowlegable.

Dr. Davis is so calm and compassionate with the animals. She took care of our aging dog when he was at the end of his life. She was great to us and to him. With our new dog she is equally caring. I trust her to take good care of her. If our dog needs treatment she gives us all the options and recommendations. I never feel rushed when I am there. She is extremely knowledgeable and honest.
The office staff is very efficient and friendly. I have no problem making an appointment and my wait time is never unreasonable. The office is clean and well kept.

I will be taking my dog here when her shots are due. For now I just buy prescription food there. They have a buy back program if my dog is not happy with her food.

They are very close and there are couple branches around the city, so you can to any branch. They are very courteous and pretty professional. They are very kind, nice, thoughtful, and friendly. They are very smart and considerate when something happens to your pet.

I've been taking my pets to the Paris Road location for over 20 years. Everyone is very professional and personable, fron the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets. When the price of my cat's prescription meds went up, the staff researched and located a less expensive but still excellent substitute. It's a great place with well trained excellent staff

The vet saw us right away, was professional, kind, and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction.

I have been taking my animals to the Horton's clinic on Paris Road for eight years, and they are consistently the best veterinary clinic I've ever used. They are very quick to get us in for emergencies (we've had a few over the years), thorough, straight-forward, and excellent with follow-up care. They are also concerned and knowledgeable about treatment options for elderly animals and (as happens) end of life issues. When I meet people new to town, as I do working at the university, I usually ask if they have pets. If they do, I immediately send them to Hortons.

My dog has been anything but easy since she was 6 weeks old. Michelle has performed her spaying and shots, as well as induced vomiting after she'd eaten a pack of cigarettes, and done a parasite check. She also fixed my sugar glider Max.
She has always been very professional and thorough. She's also the one of the very few vetsin the area with any real sugar glider/small animal experience. She really studies up on new findings and updates her recommendations for her patients.

Their prices I reasonable, and I will use this provider again in the future.

We are happy with the services we've had, the people have been caring and professional, though sometimes they don't call with the test results so we've had to call them for the results.

We felt special and like they cared about our dog as much as we do!

The group of Vets at Horton's NE are all woment. I have used them for over 10 years. In this situation, my little guy suddenly had a seizure. I was able to get him in to be seen right away. The vet, as always, was very concerned and caring. She listened to what happened, was very detail oriented, asking questions. She did blood work and examination and came to discover that my little guy had erlichiosis. This is a parasite that dogs/people can catch from insect bites, and can make any of us very sick. She gave me antibiotics to give him. As always, a few days later, she called in follow up to see how he was, but I couldn't be reached by phone at the time. She called again a few days later to check again on him. This is how my experiences always go with this Vet group. They are wonderful.
