Eric is excellent at what he does and has the time to explain things very clearly and carefully to his clients. We were so pleased to have worked with him. We are new to the area and contacted 8 different contractors for estimates. Eric was by far the most frank about possible issues and also clearly was very knowledgeable about both tile and wood products and the possible challenges of installation. His price was very fair. As others have stated, he's also a really nice person. I recommend him very highly and would certainly go to him directly for any future job. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in hiring him.

Eric was very friendly and easy to work with. He was aware that his schedule was fairly busy and kept me updated on when they could get started. He was not quite as communicative as I would have liked, as he showed up the first morning unannounced, but overall, he was pretty responsive. We ended up paying about $1500 over the estimated cost, but he finished in about 2.5 weeks when he estimated it would be done in around 2--not bad. They finished up while we were away, and when we returned, while the bathroom was done, there were a lot of little details that he had not completed--paint was missing in some areas, a few drywall holes weren't patched adequately, the inside of the closet wasn't finished out, and they had left everything a mess--including my basement floor, where I had let them run the tile saw (they had tried to mop it, but mostly just smeared around the tile dust, and they left my mop in a bucket of dirty water, which stunk when we got home), and my back porch, where they had been stashing debris. The whole house was dusty, but that was to be expected, although I do think they could have done more to mitigate the dust, like hanging a drop cloth in the hallway. We expressed our concerns, and Eric did come back and do a few things, but we still ended up spending a good chunk of a weekend finishing up the small details.
Also, we discovered that while he does great with tile, we do not think that drywall is his strong suit. We get the impression that a few corners were cut--the drywall isn't as smooth as it could have been, and the shower head wiggles in the wall, indicating that they did not attach it to the studs correctly.
However, the first 98% of the job was done fabulously. Eric definitely knows how to tile, and it is done beautifully.
We asked Eric to quote us on another bathroom remodel, but he did not respond, which I took to mean he was not interested or was really busy.

"Thank you for your review of our work in your home. Our final bill was the same as the estimate, there was no additional fees or overages. I gave a ballpark estimate of materials in my estimate and that is where the $1,500 discrepancy is. Prior to starting work you received and approved the final cost, which included the materials you selected. Once the final estimate was accepted, there was no change to the final bill. Even if the job takes us longer, we do not charge the customer for the overage. Every customer we work for receives a fixed price estimate. There were lots of unexpected things that came up, but Eric was responsive and tried to accommodate as needed. He changed his schedule and worked with us. He always made sure he clearly communiciated his plans and any timeline interruptions.

Eric was very easy to work with. Because of some health concerns on our part, we had to reschedule several times. He always worked with us on this issue. Did an excellent job on redoing shower. The tile is well done & looks beautiful. I am very pleased with the entire job & experience.
Would definitely use him again & would recommend to friends &family. Also he is very ethical & trustworthy..

Eric was very prompt in setting up an appointment to provide us with an estimate for the installation of the flooring. He was very professional and provided great advice about the type of flooring that would work for our situation. He responded very well to our email and telephone questions. We saved a little by removing the old carpet and getting the floor ready for the installation. Eric scheduled the installation at our convenience and he was on time for the days required to install the flooring. There were no surprises and no unexpected expenses. He gave us very accurate information about the amount of flooring and other supplies we needed to purchase. Eric kept the work are very clean and he made sure all of the debris was removed when the work was finished. We are very pleased with the installation and feel that Eric did a great job.

Very responsive. Very prompt. Great customer service. Had me look over work before he left to make sure I was happy with service. Had him touch up a couple areas. Did two bathrooms and sink in third.
UPDATE: noticed two areas on floor by bathtub were not caulked or not well enough for me to see. Bathroom sink has water coming around sink in several areas. More than before the caulking. Two areas around one tub has caulk already not intact. I did wait the 24 hours before using as instructed. The caulking was not as neat as what he replaced.

Prepared concrete floor and laid ceramic tile in dining room and sunroom. Did a fine job, good communication, and what I got is what he said he would do. He had an assistant who was very good also. Minimal waste on the tile, cleaned up after themselves and did the job in the length of time they said they would. Would have liked the bid to show itemization of items, and the price to be less, but overall am very satisfied with everything.

The entire project went very well.
Given the extensiveness of the work done and the quality of all materials used, the price was quite reasonable.
Eric and particularly Jennifer worked very patiently with us as we went through our usual struggle to decide upon which color, which tile, which pattern and then changed our mind about three times before we were ready to order tile. Jennifer provided numerous tile samples for us to take home and look at to compare againstour counter tops.
Eric and Brent were more than careful to tape plastic sheeting over all cabinets and drawers and to clean up well at the end of each day. They even taped down a floor-to-ceiling plastic barrier between the kitchen and the rest of the house to contain the dust during the demolition of the old tile/ dry wall.
They were right on target to arrive when they said they would each day and to finish the project when they originally projected.
They quality of all materials used and the quality of workmanship were well above average.
Overall the whole crew was attentive to our wishes and a polite, pleasant group to have in our home completing the work.
Unlike numerous other projects we have had, this one leaves us feeling good about the people and the finished result.
We can wholeheartedly say that anyone needing tile work done won't go wrong if you have EJFlooring do the job.

We met Eric and Jennifer at the Home Show in CoMo. He was very easy to work with, timely and professional. He went out of his way to keep us informed and help us with the additional projects even tho his specialty is flooring. He showed up when he said he would or let us know if he was running late, cleaned up after himself and always was willing to work around whatever I had going on at the house while he was here. He did a super job, very dependable, honest, nice, hard worker. If I was not home when he left he was always willing to lock up. This 3 week job was completed on time!

Eric and his polite assistant Brent did a beautiful job on the bathroom, and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. Eric is very communicative and polite, so he always tells you what he is doing, why he is doing it and what the outcome will be. Where appropriate, he gave me options. We were always on the same page as to quality of materials, how to proceed, etc... (I don't like cheap materials that won't last. Thankfully, that is Eric's attitude as well). I greatly appreciated all of this, particularly the ongoing communication, and I told Eric on the second day of the job how happy I was that it was his company that I chosen for the job.
Eric had provided an estimate for the work after initially looking at the bathroom, and that price was consistent with what I paid in the end (we made adjustments for the pedestal I chose, the hardware we wanted to install, etc...) I found the work to be high quality, Eric and Brent to be extremely punctual and efficient, and the price very fair. The most important thing to us is that a person we contract, do what they say they will do for the amount quoted in a reasonable time frame.
Eric did all of this and more. He is a pleasure to have in our home, is friendly, and courteous at all time. Came back and replaced a defective transition strip at not charge. We will certainly use him again and can recommend him to others.

This was a huge project and we are so glad we chose Eric to do it.
We could trust Eric to be in our home when nobody was home or when either of our teenage daughters were home alone. Eric is dependable and does what he promises to do. He is kind and pleasant to be around - very nice since we spent so much time together during this project. He was reliable to give us a time-frame to work with - especially since we did some of the demo ourselves. We did not tear up too much ahead of time nor did we have to rush at the last minute to get our part done. We also knew what products to have on hand as he would approach the next phase of the project. Eric was also very helpful in providing hints on the parts of the job that we were doing. He was willing for us to share in our home remodel doing the parts we were capable of doing and allowing him to do the parts that needed a professional with professional tools.
He uses quality materials and knows how to use them properly. For anyone thinking his estimates are high, they should compare apples to apples and know that you get what you pay for. The Schluter products he uses are well known to be superior products. If you use them, you will not be redoing the tile work later because of failure - only if you get tired of it and want something different.
Eric stands behind his estimate and that is what you will pay for the job (unless, like us, you keep adding to it as you go).
Another bonus that mattered to our family - Eric does not smoke so he did not stink up our home.

This guy shows up when he says and is genuine cares about the quality of the job done. We had heard him on the radio that he specialized in flooring but did all remodeling so I asked if he did decks and he told us he had built 4 houses completely and had done general carpentry for 14 years but had always specialized in flooring. So he built us a beautiful deck and he was able to use part of my existing deck foundation which saved us some money. Then we had him put in some ceramic tile and a new commode in our upstairs bathroom. We liked that he let me do some of the prep work and knocked off some for me doing some prep work. Eric is very friendly and always made us feel like we could trust him to lock up when we weren't home. Very nice man and paid close attention to detail and never cut corners got the job done and the final bill was never a surprise it was always what we agreed on a rare carpenter we will use him again!
