Didn't go well as far as I was concerned. They send out these promotions and try and get you to upgrade but then when you do the service is not available for this area.
Only reason I said I would use this provider in the future, I have no other choice. At&T wireless service is even worse here than Centurylink land line and dsl.

I now am paying the same $39.95 price but only getting 3.89mbps download speed. To top it all off an employee went in to my account and changed my services without my approval. If there were another ISP in the area I would gladly switch.

The technician checked my service through our telephone and then he checked my computer. Made me realize it was something on my computer that caused the problem. He was very courteous and patient and answered any questions that I had.

I called the repair line because there was a red X on my television due to my DVR. The person on the online tried to sell me products that I don't need. Then the actual tech was rude. If I could break my contract I definitely would. Loser company.

A door to door salesman talked me into prism. I have come to find out several things he told me were false. He told me to bundle my telephone service in because it was easier and then could drop it and get a cheaper bill. When I tried to do that I was told I have the cheapest bill because I bundle and if I drop my phone it will be more expensive. He told me I could record 6 shows at once and it is only 4. I told centurytel about it but they didn't seem to care much. If it wasn't such a pain to switch I would have just gone back to DISH. The quality of the TV reception has been good and I haven't had trouble with the device in the 3 or 4 months I have had it until now. Tonight my prism and Internet both went out. They can't come to fix it until Thursday. I will be without tv and internet for two days a night and another partial day which I find an unreasonable amount of time. The guy I talked to on the phone was polite but unhelpful.

I had CenturyLink (formerly CenturyTel) at my previous home for six years, and overall I was pleased with the service, which was reliable. I cannot remember any serious downtime in those six years, with the exception of the time that my wireless router went down. I rented this router from CenturyLink and they replaced it within a few days, and I was up and running again. I am not sure it is a good idea to rent a wireless router- it is certainly not financially a better deal- but for those who don't want to get into the mess of buying a router, this might be a reasonable option, and it was very fast and easy to receive a new one when they sent it out. I had landline phone access with CenturyLink from 2006-2009, but cancelled in 2009 and went with the naked DSL package. I was irritated at the number of fees and taxes that were still added on to this, but it was far cheaper than having a landline phone. When I cut my cable TV access in 2010, I used a streaming internet video product (a Roku) and I was very pleased with the dependability of my internet service to provide that access. I used my Roku daily and I don't remember any problems with internet service in that time.

They wanted us to upgrade to this box that is cheaper and allows you to run everything off of one box. I agreed to have this upgrade, and then they realized that it doesn't reach to my house. After they told me they couldn't do it, they still call and ask me to upgrade even though they can't do it at my house.
