Ben did many jobs for us in the past, but his voice mail today (July 7 2016) says that he has RETIRED and is NO LONGER IN BUSINESS!

I spoke with Ben on the phone about my leaking refrigerator and he diagnosed the issue almost immediately without even seeing the fridge! Clearly he knows his appliances. He was willing to come the day I called but my schedule couldn't accommodate him, so he came promptly as soon as my husband and I were available. He was courteous, professional and very neat and tidy. He completely defrosted our freezer, removed all the excess ice and fixed the drain warmer with an inexpensive, clever modification, rather than a replacement, to prevent it from freezing up again. We will most definitely be calling Ben in the future if we have any appliance problems - I hope he's still making house calls when we do!

Ben was prompt, thorough, amicable, and instructive. I recommend him to anyone needing appliance repairs and advice about appliances.

He responded to my voicemail in a timely manner, arrived promptly for his appointment and fixed the dryer in a short period of time. Ben took the dryer apart, removed the problem material and put everything back together quickly. I appreciated his good work and the reasonable price.

Had it repaired the day we called. Gave advice on how to keep it in good repair. Fixed a small problem with our refrigerator at no charge.

He responded very quickly to my call. Showed up the next day I was available. Quick diagnosis and quick fix.

Ben did a wonderful job. He was prompt, courteous, and the final price was exactly what he quoted us in the beginning. He came by to diagnose the issue (dishwasher was screeching while running) and told us that the motor needed to be replaced. He quoted a price and then ordered the part. He returned about a week later with the part and had it installed quickly. I appreciate that he is not a appliance salesman and did not push replacement over repair. However, I do believe that if he thought we'd be better off replacing he would have let us know that. The quality of his work was stellar, it's been almost two months and our dishwasher is almost as quiet as a mouse. We will definitely be calling him again next time one of our appliances needs service.

Honesty and integrity come to mind as I describe my interaction with Ben Crabtree. I have previously used another popular company for repair of our large appliances. I began to have reservations when the last three appliances were not repairable; instead, each needed to be replaced. Ironically, this same company sold new appliances. I chose Mr. Crabtree for my second opinion and I have found my new repair person. I called at 8:00 a.m. and he showed up at our scheduled meeting time on the same day. I did not expect this prompt service but was delighted. He quickly identified the problem and was able to fix it on the same visit. The refrigerator was resuscitated, at least for now. More importantly, Mr. Crabtree imparted a sense of trustworthiness which I found reassuring since I was at his mercy for I know nothing about appliance repair. It is without reservation that I highly recommend BEN CRABTREE APPLIANCE REPAIR.

I called late one night. He called back the next morning and came the following afternoon. He assessed the problem and explained the repair--what he would do and how much it would cost in parts and labor. He finished his work and cleaned up in about 90 minutes. He is honest, cheerful, conscientious, professional; and far less expensive (though better) than Sears or other national chains. If I have any appliance needing repair, I will call no one else but Ben. Superb.

He is very honest and always tells us the truth. He has fixed many of our appliances and his prices have been very reasonable. We will continue to use him in the future for our repairs.
