See above description! Abigail executed the color, cut and style to perfection. Love the stacked back, angled slightly longer on front sides, choppy bangs...exactly as the bob examples I brought in pictures. The color has great shine..low lights suggested by Abigail and I love the look. Very nice salon/experience.

Everything went amazing! When I got there Abigail met me with a smile and offered me a drink. She asked what I was wanting to have done and I explained the problem areas with my hair, what I was looking for and then I asked for her advice on achieving it. Together we came up with a plan that has my curl/fine/thin hair feeling and looking better than it has in years!!!! I will be returning to her for everything that deals with my hair! Oh, and my eyebrows look perfect as well! :) I am very much looking forward to my next appointment, which I made before leaving her shop!!

Abigail gave me a good haircut, and she was very pleasant and professional. Some psycho gave her a really nasty review somewhere on the net, which is unfortunate.

It went very well. I have hard to cover grey hair which is medium/short in length. Abigail is a great colorist and talented hairstylist. She listens to the customer and advises according to her expertise. The salon is clean and artfully decorated for a relaxing personal experience. Overall, Abigail's Salon is the best I have experienced in the Columbia area.

Abby is an exceptional stylist and a delightful conversationalist! At my last appointment with her, she shampooed, conditioned, cut, layered, and styled my hair. Abby has cared for my hair for quite some time and she does excellent work each and every time I see her. I used to have very long hair and now wear it shoulder length, which is short for me. I'm quite conscientious about maintaining the length and not having it any shorter than it is. It must be long enough for a ponytail :-) My hair is quite thick and since Abby began layering it for me it looks absolutely wonderful. I receive compliments often. It is so nice to go to a stylist who I can trust to do exactly what I ask which allows me to kick back, relax and soak in the inviting and relaxing environment at Abigail's salon. I appreciate that Abby keeps up on the latest trends and keeps my hair in such great shape. She has gone out of her way to accommodate my schedule when I have a special event and is truly thoughtful and always punctual. Abby has done a lovely job in decorating her salon creating a warm and relaxing yet rich and modern environment. I always look forward to seeing Abby and feel beautiful and relaxed when I leave.

I've been told I could do shampoo commercials and have even been called "The Breck Girl"! Thanks Abby! :-)

I have been a client of Abby's for years. She is extremely talented and has a very pleasant personality. I look forward to my appointments every time. I always leave with beautiful hair. Her new salon she opened is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is so inviting, and the overall experience is great every time I am there. I would definitely recommend her. One word of advice-- call in advance. She is usually booked out for several weeks (in my opinion- an obvious sign that she is good at what she does).

I happened to be in the salon the same day the client who posted a complaint. I was shocked to read her account. It was not as posted. Now, her hair may not have been baby blond, but she left the salon, saying over and over how pleased she was and to me, her hair looked natural, healthy and suitable for her age. I heard the exchange abou the tip and it was not as posted. There is never a suggestion to tip. Abbie responded with an accurate account, I can highly recommend Abbie, but you need to schedule an appointment early or have a weekly standing.

It did not go well. Abby was friendly and nice. When I got there, I was thirsty and she had a large variety of things to drink and gave me a couple of sodas, but that was the extent of my good experience. I'm new to Columbia and had seen a "Grand Opening" article about her new salon in the paper. From what she'd described about her abilities in the article, it sounded like she knew what she was doing. I took 4 pictures, expressed clearly what I wanted in color and highlights and made sure she understood that although I wanted some of the length taken off, I wanted it shoulder length or a bit longer. As to the type of highlights I wanted, she argued with me at great length, adamant that it wouldn't look good. I've had my highlights done in that manner many, many times and it's always looked wonderful. I also emphasized that I do not like "gold" tones. I requested that my original hair color not be changed and that the highlights be a "soft, baby blond." She then remarked, "then you want low lights, too." The previous stylist had changed my natural color in the back, underneath. I just asked that she get that area of hair back to the color of my natural color. I showed her the style in the pictures I brought and later, while waiting for my highlights to lighten, I saw another style in a book and asked her which would look better on me. She said that I could achieve either look w/the cut she was going to give me. I then asked her if she could help me with how to get each look myself, doing my hair on a daily basis and she said "absolutely." Bottom line...my hair has NEVER been this short and I'm sick to my stomach! She cut off at least 5 inches. When I first arrived, she held up the back part of my hair and said, "I'll need to take about this much off." What she held up was about 2 and a half to three inches. There's absolutely no way that either style I wanted can be achieved. The overall "tone" of my hair is gold...what I specifically indicated I did not like nor want (I like more softer, "ashe" tones as is my actual hair color). The highlights I wanted, she eventually did...BUT, you can only see the way (pattern) I requested if I lift my hair up. With it down, they're hidden. When it was time for her to style my hair, she said she only had time to do a "blow out." I asked her 3 times, to please not and if she was pushed for time, to just use a diffuser and scrunch it, but she refused. The style in the back reminded me of a little girl's...like if she were going to a wedding, etc., but NOT an adult woman's nor modern and the front was just OK. Needlesstosay, I was very upset. But, I have a hard time telling people what I think when these types of things happen. I was nice, thanked her and said it was nice to have met her. But, all I wanted was to justgetout of there and to be able to try and "fix" the look of my hair once in the car. I worked and worked with it once I left to get it to look better and to where I wasn't embarrassed to go into work. The other thing I found surprising was that a tip was expected and yet she's the owner, therefore, getting all of the profits and she's the only stylist, only person there other than the receptionist. But, the receptionist asked me what percentage I wanted to include on my charge card for the gratuity. I did speak up and say that I'd never heard of an owner taking a gratuity. She said, "well, whatever you feel is right." So, I spinelessly gave in (stupid of me and in retrospect, should have just said "no thank you!"). I have my hair pulled up as best as possible today, with the aid of small clips, and will have to keep it "up" for a lonnnnng time. I do not look good with short hair. The way I've worked it gives the look of longer hair in an up do and thankfully, with it up...the highlights can be seen! Abby talks quite highly about her abilities; however, as they say, "talk is cheap"...although the price of her services are far from it. I don't mind paying higher prices if the service rendered is right on, but I will never, ever go back and do not recommend her to anyone who has a particular idea of what they want done. It's nice to have a "pleasant personality" to go with a stylist, but I'll take talent and accuracy any day and less of the other in order to be happy with my hair!
