Had my Mother's and quot;areaand quot; in my home cleaned while she is in the hospital. My Mother is now complete bedridden, but in the past has been able to get up, sit on the potty chair, etc. During those times there were plenty of and quot;mishapsand quot;, meaning it didn't all hit the intended area. She constantly spills things and a couple of times her catheter bag wasn't put back together correctly and leaked. She also has a little dog, who now spends most of time time back in another part of the house where there's a doggy door, but occasionally will sneak back into her room and and quot;leave her markand quot;. To say the least this carpet was bad.
I've always tried to clean every spot and/or area as a mishap occurred. I've use my home and quot;steam cleanerand quot; and rented the Rug Doctor and you could barely tell anything had been done. I figured we'd just have to replace the carpet when and quot;Mother's goneand quot;.
Quality Carpet Care was scheduled for the week prior, but I had to put them off because the room is so pack full of stuff and it was supposed to rain and a hospital bed and a couple of antiques, etc would have to be put out on her porch. They were completely understanding and rescheduled for the next week.
They came out right on time (possibly a few minutes early), came in and assessed the carpet, pre-treated some of the smaller areas and got right to work. (I couldn't move my Mother's Secretary out of the room because we didn't want to take a chance of causing any damage to it. Her Mother and Father set up housekeeping with it and it was used then. It also has the original beveled glass in it.)
Quality Carpet Care was very mindful of the antiques/furniture we couldn't move, They were extremely careful around the Secretary glass. They got to each and every spot they could reach, even getting down under things they could, behind doors. They were in no hurry, but had the job finished within 45 minutes to an hour and it looked wonderful. They even told us if, when it dried, it needed more done they would come back out for us.
Both people (I believe husband and wife) were extremely friendly and courteous without being solicitous. They both understood the value of other people's belongings. They left us some small plastic pieces were could put under furniture legs in case we put the furniture back before it was completely dry. JUST GOOD PEOPLE!
The carpet was dry in about 3 hours (it took longer to dry because of the humidity). It looks brand new. I couldn't ask for a better job or better customer service. I would recommend these folk to anyone in the community. They charged $66 and it was worth it at twice the price.
