About us

I am a freelance photographer who loves to use natural light. I cater to High School Senior and Boudoir Photography. I found my love of photography after I was honorably discharged from the Army and needed to make a career change. I have always loved cameras, but since I picked up my DSLR 5 years ago I have not put it down. I want everyone to have top notch quality images to remember their loved ones with. be YOU!

I showed up early for my shooting time and got my hair and makeup done by Heather, and then she drove me out to each location and told me exactly what to do so my pictures would turn out how I wanted them. She walked me through the steps of each pose and made me feel completely at ease, even though I hate having my picture taken. She treated me to lunch after the shoot, and then let me look through the photographs before and after she was done editing. Her service was quick and it was excellent quality. She knows what she is doing, and I have even gone back to do a couple impromptu shoots with her.
I showed up during my boyfriend's senior shoot to make him more comfortable, and afterward he let me know that she was incredibly fun and she made him feel comfortable and completely himself during the shoot. He also mentioned that he was surprised at how quick the service was, and he was very happy with how all of the photographs turned out.
I will definitely only be using Heather in the future for any photography I need done. I have been to other photographers and no one seems to know what they are doing as much as Heather does. She knows what looks good even looking outside the viewfinder. I was more than satisfied with every photograph she took of me and of others that I know, close friends and strangers alike. I have nothing but good things to say about this photographer; she really does know what she wants and what you would want without even knowing you very well first! Thank you, Heather! You totally rock! I hope to work with you again soon!

This all began with a special gift for a husband for Valentine's day last year. Boudoir photos were taken, with the expectation of privacy by the owner of be.YOU.tiful Photos, Heather LaBounty. The session was completed and everyone was happy. Then, a picture from the session was used in an advertisement for the boudoir part of the business; however, no one gave her permission to use the picture for advertising purposes. Even after several requests, the picture remained through the Valentine season. With Valentine's day quickly approaching again, the photo/advertisement resurfaced and the drama began again. The subject from the session and several friends requested that the photo be removed, but Heather refused to do so, claiming that she had a verbal contract allowing her to use the pictures however she deemed necessary. After several comments, she chose to post a photo taken of a step-child of one of the friends who was trying to stand up for the subject. The child is 5, a minor, and permission was not given by BOTH parents, only the mother, to post it on the page. Heather posted it out of spite. Many reports were made to Facebook to remove both photos and finally the boudoir picture was; however, the child's face remains on the page, an innocent pawn in the whole mess. The point of this review is to let people know that if you have photos taken with this business, you are opening yourself up to a lot of unkowns. Most photographers will have you sign a contract before taking any pictures and most professional ones will sell you the rights to your photos after they take them. Do not trust just anyone, make sure you check them out thoroughly before allowing them to capture and misuse your most precious memories. She has now plastered MY name all over the web, saying that I am going to be sued for slanderizing her and her business, yet she and her friends have referred to all of us as and quot;idiots, and quot; and quot;moransand quot; (morons), and quot;barking dogs, and quot; and and quot;mongrels.and quot; She is also threatening to sue me for copyrights to a photo she posted. PROFESSIONAL is not what I would call this woman.
Response from be YOU tiful photos
"The person who wrote this reply I have never met nor had any business dealings with. The persons image she is referring to at the beginning of her reply did in fact give me permission to use a series of 5 images on my FaceBook account. The permission was a verbal one and as soon as she called to inform me that her husband was mad they were up there I removed them, all but one, which I had forgotten about. When I found it, it was immediately removed. That persons husband continued to call and harass me via text and FaceBook messages and I refunded the amount paid for the album she ordered and informed her that our business dealings were done. As far as the image of the little boy. The step-mother was with me when I took that snapshot and even commented on it when I posted it to my FaceBook account. Implications were made that I use images of children in ways that are not professional and I moved that image over to my photography FaceBook page to show that I do not use images in any way other than what they were taken for. The actual mother contacted me and gave me permission to keep the beautiful image of her son on my photo site. She loved it! The person who wrote this review stole the image, defaced it, then re-posted it to her FaceBook account to show how easy it is to steal an image and alter. My name was on the image with the © symbol signifying that it was copyrighted by me. I asked that she remove the image and she refused. Only when I told her that I was going to sue her for copyright infringement did she remove the image. I have never used images that I have taken in any way other than what they were taken for. I am saddened by this review from a person who I have never met nor spoken to face to face or even over the phone. All of my images are copyrighted at the time they are taken and every precaution is taken to obtain permissions to display either verbal or written consent. In the case with the woman with the Boudoir image, verbal consent was given. Now, every client must sign a contract and model release, no matter what the shoot is for, verbal consent will not be accepted."
