"First, I apologize that the customer lacks confidence in our ability to install our product professionally and has experienced delays in their installation. However, we did contact the customer initially and provided our estimated installation time. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather or non-work related injuries. In regards to the heat, as a company that prides themselves on providing quality craftsmanship, we cannot allow our employees on a roof that is so hot that mere footsteps damage the roof. In this case, we are in a lose-lose situation....we don't install the unit and we are unresponsive, we install the unit and cause damage to the home, we are incompetent. As far as the injuries are concerned, I think all involved understand that these things happen...I cannot and will not install a product on a customers home without healthy installers. We did our best to get this customer installed and just as the customer stated above, we attempted to contact them multiple times without response. I wish the customer would of contacted me earlier and voiced their frustration with the installation delays. As the owner, customer service is my number 1 priority. I am confident we could of come to a mutual understanding. However, when we attempt to contact a customer and they do not respond, we are left with little options. If the customer would like to contact me directly, I would be more than happy to discuss their frustrations and try to address their concerns."
and half hours even though he indicated he got 15 hours pay for the job. When we went out for bids we first got a bid from
Premier skylights which was $2462 with the $130 Angie's list discount and with the White glass included in the bid. So Saint Louis skylights came back with a matching bid plus 5% cheaper to basically steal the job away from Premier skylights . When the
skylights were installed I said something to the installer that they did not have the white coating as we had signed in the sales agreement with Saint Louis skylights . I called Saint Louis skylights on 02/29/2015. Tony called me back that day and proceeded to
tell the white glass was not figured into the cost on the sales agreement that their salesman and me both signed. I would think that they would live up to a signed contract that stated on it that "white glass option". Buyer Beware
"On Dec 29, 2015, I personally conducted the appointment at this customers home because my residential salesman was out of town. During our initial appointment, the customer did not request white laminated glass. However, during a follow up call with my residential sales staff on 7 January, customer requested his skylights be changed from clear glass to white glass. Customer did sign a proposal with white glass in the description. Our staff failed to adjust the initial project information worksheet and that is why clear glass was initially ordered and installed. We have since returned to the customers home and replaced the units with white glass. For this mistake...I sincerely apologize. As for pricing and "stealing" work from our competitor....price matching strategy is a common practice in the sales arena. Our customers are NOT strong armed into signing a contact. To the contrary, based off of comments on this website, we pride ourselves in providing a consultative sales approach. All customers are free to select an installer. I do not understand the criticism, this customer could have chosen Premier. We simply provide an option and let the customer decide. I am confused as to why the customer took advantage of the discount then criticized us for providing it. In the end, this customer received exactly what was contracted for far less than the original bid. Additionally, we honored not just a price match discount but an Angies list discount as well, which is against company policy. Finally, in regard to our late arrival, we also apologize for the delay. The previous project took a longer than anticipated and we should of called this customer to explain our tardiness. Again, I personally apologize for this delay. I will not comment on an installers pay in this forum only to say the customers comments are not accurate and irrelevant to the quality of work performed."
