 + -1 moreI needed a piano tuner for my area. She lives closer than my mother does and that's only a 15 min drive. However, I had to talk her into driving the 11 miles and then she didn't want to drive at night; she doesn't work weekends either.
Description of Work: Delores is the piano tuner. She's too confined in her area of travel and time availability. She won't drive more than 10 miles and she won't drive at night, or work on weekends.

 + -1 moreDelores is a professional. She arrive on time, and tuned both of our piano's in a timely manner. It took almost 4 hours, however when she was done, they both sounded wonderful. She offered several suggestions on maintaining our piano's, where we could trade them in if we were so inclined, and was eager to answer any questions we had. We will call on her again.
Description of Work: We contacted Delores off of Angie's List, to tune an upright and a grand piano we have in our home.

 + -1 moreThe lady spent about an hour to an hour and a half. The experience went well. She was willing to put up with all of my questions. She tuned the piano well, specifically the lower registers were the ones which were out of tune. I don't remember punctuality being an issue so from what I can remember I think she was pretty punctual.
Description of Work: They cleaned and tuned my piano.

Description of Work: I called Ms. Schaefer regarding a piano with water damage that I thought could be repaired. She came out, did an extensive review of the damage and tried to see if it could be fixed. When she said it would cost more to fix than its value, she said that she would not charge me because, she said she had not fixed the piano. She is obviously very honest and I could tell was very competent. Although I no longer have a piano, I would definitely call her for any tuning if I get another one.

 + -1 moreShe appeared on time and as scheduled. She wasn't able to fix a sagging key. However, this was because there were some old player-piano guts in the way, and she gave us a referral to somebody appropriate.

 + -1 moreMs. Schaefer was very thorough in her work. She chatted with me about her experience and what she was doing, she was not put off by my curiosity. She advised me on how to clean the dirty piano keys. Ms. Schaefer has many years of experience, having tuned pianos for many years for the St. Louis Symphony. She was polite (a very nice lady), on time, reasonably priced and willing to do whatever it took to make sure the piano was perfectly tuned.
Description of Work: Ms. Schaefer tuned our piano which had not been tuned for many, many years. She unstuck two keys and worked on the pedals so they would operate more quietly.

 + -1 moreMY PIANO SAT IN MY BASEMENT FOR 10 YEARS BEFORE I HAD IT MOVED UPSTAIRS. IT IS OVER 40 YEARS OLD. MS. SCHAEFER CAME OUT TO TUNE IT, AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY HER SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE. SHE WAS RECOMMENDED TO ME BY THE COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL, AND THE RECOMMENDATION WAS TERRIFIC. I INTEND TO CALL HER AGAIN TO RE-TUNE MY PIANO.
