I take one of my dogs w/ vision probs to Dr. Ota. He is losing his vision and can be fearful, irritable with strangers. She is so kind - he is calm with her. It's very reassuring to have her as my vet ophthalmologist.

Everyone there was so nice. We saw Dr. Buss and he could not have been nicer. He was so kind and gentle to Max. I was so impressed by his bedside manner and compassion for our beloved dog. He agreed with the original recommendation.

They are outstanding. It saved the dog's life.

They are very caring. There isn't any complex issues that they can't handle.

It has been an ordeal with my pet to get them through the whole healing process to keep the infection from spreading. He has healed. I would not recommend this with anyone.

I can not say enough about them they are very professional, and so caring towards my dogs. It tickles me how they even talk to them like little people. The prices are not shocking which surprised me. The staff awesome, and the Doctors amazing. Hopefully this is helpful and put anyone at ease that your in good hands if you ever need them.

My kitty has been on a special diet for oxalate bladder stones since she was 3 years old. At 12, it was determined that again she had stones and this time they were also in her ureter which meant she would need the care of a specialist. We were referred by our regular vet to Midwest. They treated us extremely well, explained everything that was going on and kept in constant contact while our kitty was under their care. I was able to bring her a blanket, toys and some of her favorite food and was welcome to visit her during her short stay. They were very patient with me and willing to answer all my questions. Dr. Mahn himself even called with updates after her surgery to let me know how everything went. I have received calls from them since just checking to see how my kitty is doing and I truly appreciate that. The front desk ladies are very sweet and compassionate. Everyone at this clinic seems to realize just how much a person truly loves their pets. I highly recommend this clinic to others.

They are very good and totally professional. They are reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend them.

Our dogs are a big part of our family. Dr. Buss assessed our big dog promptly, asked questions, reviewed past history quickly. Communicated his thoughts very effectively. No time wasted, yet compassion and empathy are obvious. His diagnosis was life-saving, AND avoided yet another surgery. He worked with our regular vet well. His diagnosis showed his gift for seeing the big picture. Dr. Buss also taught us what we needed to know, to monitor and when to call in an expert again if needed. Followup appts have been great. Very professional; other vets rely on Dr. Buss' judgement and ideas too. Great staff. St. Louis is SOOOOOO lucky to have this guy! There are other specialists on-site too, including opthamology and 24-hour emergency (a breath of fresh air after dealing with other 24-hr emergency clinic in the StL area).

He has a genuine empathy for his patients and the pets owner as well. This same high caliber of care was always given by his staff. The team put together here raises the bar for veterinarians.
