I keep a very tidy and orderly home, so all they needed to do was clean ~ not pick up.Being a positive person, I would always be kind and deligate my desires in a sweet manner.I gave gifts, $, flowers for no reason, etc. to show my appreciation.
Two weeks ago ~ they did horrible and even completely skipped the master bathroom.The complete check was cashed and no allowances made.The owner, Wendi, had promised that someone would be out to do that bathroom ......it never happened.
This week only 1 of two girls showed and not on the designated day of the week ~ so many excuses that I cannot even remember.It takes me calling and texting numerous times to find out why and when they will come.I am having guests for the 4th and when the one girl showed on Friday ~ I had a note of reminders that was not followed.She did not finish the upstairs and did not do the basement.She left a note that her foot hurt and that was all she could do but if I wanted would be back tomorrow (which was yesterday).Another excuse ~ no car, so she did not show.After numerous tries to get in touch with owner, she text that someone would come Sunday morning.Not the ideal time for our family, but I was desperate.40 minutes after the show up time was not honored, I called the person who was to come and her "car would not start".Contacted owner ~ no response by phone nor text.Yes, they took that check too for a job incompleted.I am so disappointed and this has put me in a horrific situation for I had an accident and for the next week cannot do cleaning......not to mention, that I have guests coming.
As a consumer, a divorced mom, an owner of my own business,......I would strongly not recommend this company "Maid for a Day" and, in fact, I would emphatically suggest the opposite. It is sad because there are many people looking for work and valuing their reputation.I, unfortunately, chose the wrong one with my Groupon purchase. Also, I kept giving them chance after chance ~ believing in the good of humanity. Now, I perusing Angie's list for another cleaning service and, more than likely, will always check our consumer's tool, "Angie's List" before dealing with another company without references.
