The dogs stayed together in an area where they had their room and their own outdoor "patio" access.  Toys and personal items were neatly returned to us and necessary meds were given.  Dogs seemed quite happy to see us but not distressed, as if they were being rescued.  We will probably use them again if the need arises.

Both locations are great and our dog loves it there.  She is a rescued dog (St. Louis Stray Rescue) so we wanted her to get lots of positive socialization and attention, plus she is a large breed dog and a puppy so she needed some serious play time. Kennelwood has done a great job with her. Through the day camp she has learned to not be fearful or aggressive with other dogs, and she has gained a lot of confidence around strangers. The folks who work there are very nice and seem to really enjoy being with the dogs.

I feel like the price is really good, and they do a really good job on the cut for him.

I had initially spoken with a trainer regarding training and boarding for my dog.  She had recommended a free consultation plus two days of day training prior to the dog's stay so that he could get acclimated to the facility.  It was also recommended that the dog stay in a Cabana or Lodge (a slightly larger than standard room) due to his temperament.  I was unsure what our cost would be since we had not boarded our dog here before.  I called the facility and asked for a quote of the total price for the boarding, training during boarding and any other costs we would incur during our dog's stay to evaluate if this was within our budget.  I asked her to take time to calculate this and then call me back with a total.  When she called back she stated that the total cost would be 425.50 including everything we had requested (which she verbally and completely listed) but that this would not include the two days of training prior to the actual boarding.  We have always boarded our dog at our vet and the total cost for boarding there was going to be around 400.00 and so I felt this extra 25.50 plus the two days of training prior to boarding would be within our budget and a good value.  I was asked to pay a portion of the fee when I dropped the dog off and then I would pay the remainder upon pick up.  The initial portion I paid at drop off was 344.00 and when I picked up the dog I was then asked to pay over 500.00 additional.  I disputed this amount.  There was no record in their system of the quote and it was a verbal quote so I had no written proof of my discussion with the staff member prior to the boarding. I was then given an itemized bill which broke down the charges and told that it was ok not to pay at this time and that a manager would call me around 10:00 am the following morning.  I never received a follow up call from the manager.  I did receive a follow up call from the trainer and had a summary visit with the trainer and my dog several days later where I expressed my concerns about the remaining bill.  She adjusted the bill down to 493.50 which meant I had paid a grand total of 837.50.  This unfortunately was not expected and not within my budget.  If I had this information prior to the dog's stay, I would have boarded him at our vet.  I will say that the trainer and the training were very professional and we were very happy with the training and boarding services.  I regret that I did not ask for a printed quote prior to our stay so I do take some responsibility in the misunderstanding.  Looking at the itemized bill, I am unsure how the verbal quote could have be so inaccurate.  Although I was very happy with the services, I am literally sick to my stomach at the additional money I had to come up with for this bill. 

Kennelwood Chesterfield is great! I have been taking my dog there for about a year. The staff is always so friendly and happy to see me and my pup! They do a wonderful job. They are a bit on the pricey side after a while, but overall I highly recommend Kennelwood for any service needed for your pets!

My experience with them has always turned out great! I brought my Bichon dog in for a bath, in which they gave her a special oatmeal bath which is healthier on a dog's coat. They  didn't charge me extra for that. I spoke with the groomer and she made suggestions on how much hair to cut off. She suggested a puppy cut. It only took a few hours and I was very happy with the way she looked! I also like the fact that when you pre-book the next appointment, it is $5.00 less the next time. They are very professional and really care about making you happy.

I have taken my dog there for about four years now. They do a very professional job and I am always happy with the way they treat and care for my dog. They are also very kind and gentle with rescue dogs too!

DID A GREAT JOB & PROVIDED EXCELLENT TRAINING FOR OUR DOG. THE YARD WAS NOT HARMED. I DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY HOW MUCH IT COST, BUT IT WAS APPROXIMATELY $1000 AND WELL WORTH IT. MY DOG LOVES BEING ABLE TO RUN AROUND WITHOUT A LEASH.

THIS KEEPS YOU FROM BEING GOUGED BY THE DOG'S NEWLY CUT NAILS AND ALLOWS THEM TO GET CLOSER TO THE QUICK WITHOUT HARMING THE PET.

THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. MY ONLY MAJOR COMPLAINT WAS THEY WERE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THEY DID A GOOD JOB THOUGH, WE WERE GONE FOR A GOOD TEN DAYS.

WE WOULD GO BACK.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED. THE COMPANY IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE BRINGING OUR DOGS THERE.

THE INDIVIDUAL CARE WITH THE DOGS WAS GOOD.
