Well satisfied with the end result. Returned and relocated some of the bait units at our request. System installation cost was very reasonable.

Had the usual 6 month termite station checkup and all went well. Company is very good about communication as backyard gate is locked to access those stations, so need to make contact in order to enable access. A few days later noticed we noticed that one of the station lids popped off. I tried to screw back down myself but was very hard to do. Felt silly asking them to come back so soon because I couldn't screw on a simple plastic cap, but they were more than happy to come do so and the tech (Kurtis) was very courteous and helpful. I also found winged ants on my house a few weeks back and out of fear of being termites I called them and spoke with Jerry. I sent them a pic and they confirmed they were not termites, but rather just a winged ant. During the call, I realized I could have simply looked up the difference along with picture examples on the internet, so felt a little foolish, but he was happy to help and said that is what they are there for! Both he & the tech plus the office staff seem very genuine in wanting to help. Much appreciated in this day & age!

They came out to perform the inspection and the gentleman was very courteous, but it turns out that this firm is not authorized to do inspections for the VA. In turn, we missed our closing date and had to contact an authorized provider to do the proper termite inspection.

From the initial phone contact to the completion of the work itself, a completely professional experience.  The cost was higher than their usual cost because this was for a one-time treatment rather than an ongoing service.  It was still more than I expected, but I do have confidence that HomeTeam solved the problem.

I am extremely disappointed with Home Team Pest Defense.  I contacted them for termite treatment on a home that I had put a contract on.  I spoke with a representative at their office who informed me that NO ADDITIONAL work outside of the first job would be done without contacting me FIRST.  They apparently have a clause in their contract that allows them to come do termite treatments without so much as a phone call.  When I was invoiced, I was shocked.  I had not seen these people, or heard from them in months when I received a bill stating that they had been to my house.  They may or may not have been to my house, but I have paid the bill.  When I called to obtain an explanation, Kim gave me a tart response of "well it was in your contract, it's not like we were hiding it from you".  I called back at a different time and each person I spoke with was rude and condescending.  Home Team Pest Defense - you shouldn't expect that all your customers can understand your vaguely worded contract.  Be kind to them, offering concise explanations.  I was SHOCKED at the rude and almost offensive responses I received.  I have asked them to pull their "treatments" and discontinue their services.

They come out 4 times a year. They are very dependable. They call ahead to make appointments. They are always on time.

They responded Immediately.  Scheduled the appointment and scheduled a second appointment one week later for an additional spray at no charge.  They did this because they knew that it can be hard to kill the queen.  
This was the second yellow jacket nest in our yard.  The response was great both times,  I'd use them again and would recommend them highly.

We have nothing but praise for Hometeam Pest Defense.  We found them through word-of-mouth.  The technicians are always very professional.  They clearly love their job and treat customers with respect.  They take the time to speak in plain language about the habits of various bugs, how they customize the products and strategies they use for them, and what we can do to keep tabs on the situation in between visits.  This is particularly important for us right now, having problems with poisonous brown recluse spiders that are now under control, thanks to them.  They are generous with their time and never complain about making as many free return visits as we would like.  Although the charge seems high, my understanding is that it is very competitive for comparable services.  They are owned by a parent company, the same company that owns Orkin, and yet they still feel like a local company.  Real people answer the phone right away whenever we call.

Perfect!  Responded immediately and worked around our schedule (we had a painter working on the outside of the house and did not want any spraying that would put the painter in danger).  The service technician arrived on time, took care of the problem and explained how the yellow jackets would react and that we should stay clear of the area for 48 hours.  Have used them in the past and will use them again.

Upon setting up my account the gentleman I spoke to over the phone who I think was the owner out bid all the other companies I received bids from without me telling him what their bid was. On top of that he also gave me a discount. For every scheduled spray Home Teams employees arrived on time and very courteous and professional.  They sprayed the outside and wiped down webs from the windows and other areas of the exterior, then sprayed the inside. The process was pretty simple and quick.

I have always been happy with their service.

They take care of the business.  They have a reasonable price.  They send email to remind if it’s already time for treatment and to call them for a schedule which I don’t do because they just need to come outside.  When they show up, they do the job and they put a notice on the door and a plastic bag.  I have not had a pest problem for the last 20 years. They have been treating it, so I guess it has been effective.

Upon their first visit, the technician ended up spraying chemicals for outdoor treatment in the interior of our home. They also sprayed the closet in our bedroom, which left a permanent scent on the clothes. The clothes have been washed multiple times and the scent is still there and the clothes were ruined. I spoke with the manager of the company who passed me off to their insurance company. The insurance adjuster said they are not liable at first and they later offered to pay half off the amount requested, $200, which I feel is unacceptable. We are now stuck, as we had signed a contract. The treatment worked and there are no bugs but the customer service was awful.

I have used this company a few times and I really like that I have been able to make appointments within one day of my call.  They have been professional and responsive.

When I called and made the appointment no mention of the fact that Home Team had bought the company.  When they arrived I had to ask why Home Team was there (sign on their truck - not the Woods Mills truck) and get clarification before even letting them in my home.  They sprayed inside but could not spray outside as it had just rained.  They said they would call and set up a time to spray outside when the weather was better.  After a week of not hearing from them I called and asked if they had done it or not and had to set up the appointment myself.  This is NOT the service that Woods Mill used to provide.  I used them for almost 4 years and had zero issues.  This new company is terrible in comparison.  We called mostly due to spiders on our porch both high and low.  They must not have sprayed high as that's where they all are now still building their webs.  We have found multiple bugs inside since the spray as well.  With Woods Mill the spray would last at least 3 months, but this appears to not have even made it 1 month.  I will not use them again.

I had actually called Woods Mill Pest Control but Home Team showed up. The person that came out said they were not authorized to climb on my type of roof (1. it was slate and 2. too steep) so he could not do a thorough job but when I told him the holes were in the from he said he would climb the ladder and take a look. He set 2 traps. One squirrel was caught within a couple days and I called the original number I had which was not working (Woods Mill). I then called the number on the bill and got Home Team. I was told they have merged?? They came out, took the squirrel and reset the traps. After 3 weeks no more squirrels so it worked. It is disconcerting, however, to call one company and get another. I still see Woods Mill Pest Control advertised in the Angie magazine. I didn't use the Woods Mill coupon because they were not the ones who answered the call. I am giving Home Team the grades.

It went good. They were very good. They had the best price. Their responsiveness is good. We would hire them again.

The service went well.

For the last two years when they were still Woods Mill Pest Control, they sprayed our home on a regular basis.  I told them last year we were having a problem with red clover mites and springtail mites (they told me what they were called).  They took the time to explain to me what they were and they sprayed for them and charged me $93.00.  I called them a couple of weeks later and said we were still having a problem and they came out and sprayed for them and they were very accommodating and when they came back a second time they did not charge me any additional cost.  We got them again this year and they sprayed inside and said they would come out again in a month and spray our lawn and charged $190.00 (double what we paid the year before) for the 2 sprayings.  It had no effect on the mites.  The season finally changed to the hot summer and they went away on their own.  When they didn't spray on the date scheduled for the outside spraying, I called the company and was told that "they try to fit in the outside sprays whenever they are in the area" and I didn't understand that at all since we had an appointment.  So, I have to say that since they became HomeTeam, its been very different and I probably won't use them in the future.  I'm sure when fall comes, we'll see the mites again and we'll have to find someone to treat them.

I've used Woodsmill pest control since 2006 and have always had a great experience until last week. The technician was late for the 1pm appointment so I called to get an update. After waiting 20 more minutes for a call back, I was told the technician was held up at the previous appointment and that it would be best for everyone involved that my appointment be rescheduled for another day. Well it certainly wasn't better for me to reschedule. I expressed my displeasure and was connected to a service manager after waiting on hold for at least 10 minutes. I don't know what has happened to this once very reliable and high quality company. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
