The Problem was fixed for a couple weeks. Then failed again 2 weeks later. When I called them again, I was told I would have to pay for another service call, because no parts were replaced. Rotten customer service.

Our 75 gallon water heater broke in January, and we were in a pinch. Chesterfield had serviced the water heater for a prior owner, and their sticker was on the unit, so we called them thinking their familiarity with the house might be helpful. We called 3 other companies, and Chesterfield was the only one that could get to us within 24 hours. They sent their master plumber, so we felt like we were in good hands. We had a tricky situation admittedly. We had a short 75 gallon gas water heater in a utility closet, and a prior owner installed dryer vent pipe to the flue which is unsafe. Chesterfield identified this and many problems that made the project challenging, but they did not present to us one viable solution. I did. A person who knew nothing about water heaters (me) figured out the solution using Google, not the plumbing company. The solution was a 50 gallon power vent water heater with new PVC vent pipe to the exterior.....not sure why their master plumber couldn't have just told me that. Despite my annoyance with that, we hired Chesterfield anyways because we were desperate for hot water asap. They did a good job with the installation which cost $3,300 all in (plus the $185 initial assessment fee). Maybe a touch steep? During the installation they assessed our HVACs, and they rightly identified one 25+ year old unit that's near the end of its life. They quoted me $7,200 for a basic 2 ton unit (the smallest size) and gave me "better" options at 9k, 13k, and 14k. I asked how they justified that pricing, and they never responded. We live in a nice neighborhood, so I suspected they were trying to charge us for our zip code. We've now had 3 bids on replacing this HVAC unit and all are were consistently $3,000 to $5,000 cheaper than Chesterfield for comparable products and brands. If you're considering hiring this company, do yourself a favor and get bids from other companies too. Chesterfield may do a good installation, but it may cost you more time, effort, and money than you bargained for, and they might try to price gouge you.

Chesterfield service has no administration abilities. They forgot to send people out for our summer and fall maintenances. When the techs did come out, they don't finish the jobs. Twice in a row, They say they will order the parts and return to finish the repair but they just didn't show up time and again. I had to call repeatedly to schedule follow up appointments. last time, they came out, they literately left our heater off. They charged us for the part and labor required to complete the job, promised to return and just disappeared. Avoid this expensive unreliable vendor.

It went pretty well. I was impressed with the responsiveness of the tech. HE came out within about 10 hours after i called them because they have 24/7 service which is awesome. I called them about 10pm. HE was able to resolve the issue the same day he came out. The only part I didn't like about it all was the price. I was charged a diagnostics fee + cost to repair the circuit board for the furnace. Typical costs I've found from others are about $200 less than what I was charged.

We have used them for years. I have been using them so long, I don't have anything to compare the price to. I would use them again.

All went very well even though the repairman had never seen the alarm either. The repairman felt that we were not getting enough water. They had to order a new water valve. The repairman returned with the new water valve and installed. No change in water supply level. We then found that the water supply hose was blocked. He replaced the water hose and the dishwasher worked great. It was late in the day and the repairman and he had another call to make but he stayed until he found the problem and corrected. I definitely use Chesterfield Service again.

Chesterfield Service did a great job and everyone we interacted with was very polite and knowledgeable. The service office ensured we were informed of the service date and timeframe and even followed up on the day of service to let us know the technician would be arriving at the end of the timeframe due to a delay on another call. The technician did a great job and quickly identified the issue. The repairs were made and he was on his way. We were not charged for the service because it was covered under the Manufacturers Warranty.

Jarod was our service technician. Arrived promptly. Even though I had the same issue last year and the relay switch was replaced (after a lot of issues), Jarod checked the entire oven for any other issues. Even pulled it out. I was impressed and he seemed like he knew what he was doing. Again it was the relay switch. Not fixed yet but part had to be ordered. I am confident it will be repaired correctly this time and won't need it done next year.

Very nice job all around. Install crew showed up on time and did a lot of work in a few hours. New system was installed very well. New compressor was installed on a new pad with a new retaining wall and stone added to keep it in place. Air cleaner and whole house humidifier was installed (or re-installed as needed). New thermostat was installed and programmed. Whole job was done and they left no dirty hand prints on anything. John (sales person) was very prompt and the agreement was completed in one day. Chesterfield Service had the best price (almost $750.00 less than others) and did not hold me hostage even though our unit was 100% dead and it was very hot outside. From start to finish the job was only open for one week, and most of that time was due to us being out of town. GREAT job guys. We will use you again without any question.

The water dispenser in my refrigerator wouldn't stop dispensing after I used it so I had to take out the water filter to get it to stop. I called Chesterfield Service and they came out the next day and determined it was a bad water valve that was the problem so the part was ordered - it came in the next day - and the repair was completed. Repairman was very professional.

Did fine job on requested service but seemed more interested in selling me more items.  When they discussed replacing the upstairs thermostat, I requested several times for them to tell me the cheapest one.  After the 3rd time he finally told me which one would be $3xx.  I still had no idea what the others cost.

Also they wanted to install a UV light for $1600 bc of mold.  I declined.  Later when I did research I discovered that there wasn't any proof that the UV light reduced mold growth.  I spoke with another ac and furnace company and he felt that it was unnecessary also.  We have since cleaned out the mold with bleach and also reduced the humidity in the basement and have not had any more problems.

I will not use them again.  I had used them in my old house and I never had a problem with them. However, I felt like they were trying to upcharge me on additional items in my new home.  Very disappointed and frustrated.

"[Member name removed], I am very sorry to hear you had a bad experience with our company. We train diligently on educating our clients about their systems and what areas we see need improvements. We have been working closely with our suppliers and manufacturers to keep prices in line. We know, we are not nor will ever be the cheapest option for in home service. However we do find many clients over the years find we are the best "value". As far as the mold issue here is an excerpt from an EPA.GOV iaq article "UVGI cleaners in a surface disinfection application are installed in air-handling units to prevent or limit the growth of vegetative bacteria and molds on moist surfaces in the HVAC system.34, 39, 40, 43 One study reported a 99-percent reduction in microbial contaminants growing on exposed HVAC surfaces, but a reduction in airborne bacteria of only 25 to 30 percent.44 One reason that the surface disinfection application provides only a slightly noticeable reduction in airborne microbial concentrations may be that microorganisms in the airstream are exposed to the UV light for a shorter time. Conversely, microorganisms growing on exposed HVAC surfaces are given prolonged direct UVGI exposure. Another study found that UV lamps yielded somewhat lower levels of mold in the fiberglass insulation lining the air-handling unit.40 Prolonged direct UVGI exposure can destroy vegetative microbial growth—but not most spores—on the surfaces of forced-ventilation units, filters, cooling coils, or drain pans. Killing molds and bacteria while they are still in the susceptible vegetative state reduces the formation of additional spores" I believe almost any position, or "fact" can be proven or disproven by information on the internet. What I do know as "fact" is that systems where UVC lighting is used to reduce biological growth, in our experience works. We often find that our clients prefer to know what is avialable and we make recommendations based on issues that we find with their systems. We would rather err on the side of too much information than run the risk of having a client find out they had an issue, (we knew about, and knew how to make it better) and didn't offer solutions or options. Finally we offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. I would have welcomed a discussion about your experience at that time rather than having someone unhappy with us for months. Our Satisfaction Guarantee stands I would still enjoy the opportunity to make this right by you. Thank you, Travis Seeger Owner Chesterfield Service 636-532-5841"

Went over all the options clearly and professionally. Installation took 3 days of labor plus an extra day for cleanup and went without and complications. Everything appears to be functioning well.

"Thank you very much for the review! We know we are not the "cheap guys" in town and frankly do not aspire to be, however, the quality of installation, customer service, and service after the sale, are why we may be more costly initially. But the long term value in dealing with a contractor that has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and is willing to back it up, is "pricless".... Thank you agian for your business we greatly value the continued relationship!!!"

It turned out fine. It was all done under warranty work and they were willing to talk to the warranty company and make sure that everything was handled fine. It turned out good. There was no cost to me. They came out fairly promptly They completed all the work under the warranty. The guy was very nice. Generally it was a good experience. They worked with me to make sure the product was under warranty. They did the fix but I'm not sure if the dishwasher isn't the problem. They came out fairly quickly.

The technician, Nick, arrived early and went straight to work.  My laundry room is very small but he managed to maneuver the heavy washer so he could unlatched the door which is difficult because of the drain pan.  Water had to be pumped out with a wet/dry vac (along with a small sock which was not in a mesh bag and had gotten pulled into the pump/drain system).  Once the water and sock were removed, he ran the machine through it's spin cycle, emptied the vac, cleaned up the area, and made sure everything was working as it should.  He was very courteous and explained what way going on.
I would most assuredly use this company again.  I hope all the technicians are as nice as Nick.

We have used them several times for repairs. They are able to find the parts whenever they are needed for a refrigerator that was made in 1990. They are prompt and knowledgeable of what needs to be done. The service always seems to come out okay.
