Mel is a drain artist. He loves his work and he is the best there is.

I've been using Mel for over 10 years and he always does a great job for a fair price. I would recommend him highly.

Mel discovered that the pipe had and quot;shiftedand quot; in the ground and was not running straight. He could also see cracks in the line. We are currently awaiting on Kirkwood, as they provide 75% of replacement costs. Mel discovered the problem right away and came out right away. We were very pleased with his work, thus far.

We had a plumber who was ok, and when we suddenly had a clogged drain that we just could not fix on our own, we called them. They said to call Mel. He came the same day, even though it was right near the holidays. He and his helper cleaned out our drains using incredibly large and powerful snakes. The problem was that our house, new to us, had not been maintained and the drains in the basement were clogged with dirt and debris from an outside drain. He cleaned it up as good as new and charged us a grand total of $75. Amazing. Two years later, we had problems with another drain clogging. We figured it was the same problem and called him again. He came, checked it out, and pretty quickly figured out the drains were all fine, so the problem was from the house to the street. He started working on that, and by looking in the drain, and watching the water flow, said that my trap had actually been put in backwards when the house was built, some 90 years ago. Now that the clay pipe has worn away, it's not working. We looked at the video from when the drain inspection, and the video was murky there, which should have tipped them off. We had it re-videoed, and yes, the trap was in backwards, just like Mel said. Mel said that the town would pay for a portion of it, so we went that route. Mel was great, and his years of experience really paid off for us.

Mel was great. He arrived a half hour after I called. Identified the problem and did the repair quickly. He was courteous and professional.

Came home from traveling over the weekend to find standing water in the basement. Was able to get a service appointment within an hour of calling. They evaluated the situation to determine the cause of the standing water then unclogged the pipe.
