Jasmine and her sister Stormie came by and met me and measured for what I was wanting. After doing my due diligence on price checking, I hired her team. Rodney and his team showed up and got to work. They poured cement that day and came back the next day and removed the casing, and cleaned up. The team was very pleasant to work with and concentrated on the job. Very pleased with my new porch and sidewalk.

Rodney and his team did great work and the final result turned out great. With that said, I would really think hard about using Up andUp Concrete again or not. After contacting via HomeAdvisor Jasmine stopped by unannounced, left a card on our door and emailed us a bid. I am not super keen on this, but was OK with it as it can be hard to find a time to coordinate and we are all busy these days. The initial bid was pretty professional and descriptive. I asked for a few changes as I wanted some things done a bit differently then they assumed since we had not met in person. I invited Jasmine to come back out to re-measure and update the bid. She updated the bid, but she declined to come back out and double check the changes. 3-4 estimated setup dates came and went before my turn was up. I get that other projects get delayed and weather is a factor and such. Communication could have been better and I do not care for no call no shows. Simple communication is not that difficult. On setup day, Rodney started telling me all the things that were different about the job site from the bid. OK, but hey, you had the chance to come back out and confirm the bid and declined. We did agree that it was a little more square footage than bid and I did agree to pay some additional for the extra 50 or so square feet. Jasmine sent a ridiculously high change order that I refused to sign. We agreed on somewhere in the middle, but over the next few days Jasmine continued to try to hustle me for more money over nit picky things. Bottom line: The concrete work was good. I do not care for being hustled at the 11th hour. Jasmine had plenty of time to confirm the bid prior to the job beginning.

The final finish of the concrete was terrible.

They poured a brand new garage floor that has 3/4 to 1 inch belly in the middle of the garage floor that holds water. The floor is not sloped from back to front. They will not provide any assistance to resolve the situation. They did not use grade stakes. They did not use a site level to ensure proper grade. On the basement slab, it was poorly finished, it was not a slick finish and has humps and bellies throughout 2,000 square feet of basement. This was too big of a job for this size of company. They did not use grade stakes or a site level. I would not recommend them for big jobs. They do not stand behind their craftsmanship.

Up and Up did a great job and installed our new walks and steps in a timely professional manner. If I have more flatwork I will certainly give them a call.

Concrete work can be done during the winter!!! I didn't know this and thought it would be helpful to others. This company is very easy to work with. I had a dark red patio installed with the new brick herringbone pattern and herringbone brick trim. I came to them with plans and it turned out almost exactly as I envisioned. In some ways, better than I expected. I did have to move some dirt in and around afterward but I see that as more of my lack of knowledge in how it was done. Can't wait until summer!

They did an excellent job. Even doing more than originally planned for after re-evaluating the job part way into it. They did the extra work, doing what was needed to be done to insure it was right. Minimal upcharge for the additional service. Nice people. I will be calling them again for my patio in the near future.

I highly recommend Up and Up ! They removed a nasty, old and dangerous sidewalk in front of my home and replaced it with a brand new, perfect one, which required tying into existing cement in three different places. Lovely people to work with, too !

Communication was terrible. Initial check was cashed after telling us they wouldn't cash it until work was started. Start time was delayed a few times but they didn't tell us. I had to call and find out. The yard was torn up pretty bad but I'm told that's not all together unusual. Patio looks good though.

Up and Up concrete is probably the most dedicated and hard working company I have ever worked with. My job required some special attention and they worked with me making the necessary adjustments as we went along and did not increase the price. And they are just a great bunch of guys to have around. I have two more concrete projects to do and I will definitely be using UP & UP. They are welcome on my projects anytime.
