Garbage Collection
I recently had my roof replaced
on my home; my contractor retained the disposal service of Progressive Waste
Management of Bridgeton, Missouri for a commercial dumpster. The driver for
Progressive came out at February 17,2016 at 9:40 am to pick up the dumpster and
he was having a difficult time loading it onto the truck in the process the
dumpster slide of the truck and almost crashed into my garage but fell on the
drive and busted up the asphalt causing a total of (2) 3ft x 4ft pot holes . I
myself, my finance and my roofing contractor witnessed the accident. I also
have photos of the dumpster busting up the asphalt. I called Progressive waste
immediately about this accident i spoke with Tim Henderson 314-544-7400 and was
told that he would pass the information along to one of his operation managers
and someone would contact me. I phoned Tim on February 18, 2016 at 12:34pm to
follow up with their resolution, I was told by Tim Henderson " Because my
driveway is older Progressive Waste will not pay for any damages ." I told
Tim that that was not acceptable age has nothing to do with the fact that there
driver damaged my driveway because of his inability to load the equipment
properly. I also explained to Tim that I wasn?t expecting them to replace my
driveway but I do expect Progressive Waste to accept accountability for the
damages that was done by their company driver?s negligence. I also informed Tim
that the driveway may have be older but it was not damaged before their driver
showed up As homeowner and a consumer when is it acceptable to damage someone?s
property and not we held accountable.
