The bid was completely out of line. $600 for what perhaps would require 1/2 hour - 1 hour of work at the most. I declined to have the work completed. I have since contacted a handy man to move the dryer for cleaning underneath. The job has been completed for $125.00. I feel that I was targeted as a person who could not perform the work on their own, and was in a position of needed the work done that day before going out of town.
Description of Work: Request for help with moving dryer, to clean drain leakage which reached under the dryer. not flood damage, or major clean up effort. This is a tile floor which was temporarily exposed to drain overflow. About a 4 foot in diameter area which I could not reach becaus the dryer need to be moved. The dryer is a gas hook up, so the move was a bit difficult. I was leaving the next morning for travel, so a clean up that day was necessary.
