Matt (who works with Branneky's, but not for them) responded quickly to his voice-mail message. He arrived promptly the next morning with my new water heater, and installed it in about an hour. The installation cost $150 and included haul-off of old one. The store carries 2 brands of water heaters. The Reliance comes with a 6 year warranty & runs about $100 cheaper than the Maytag which has a 9 year warranty. Both are made by Maytag. I shopped & called around quite alot before buying. The price of similar water heaters didn't vary much from place to place, but the cost of installation varies widely. One place quoted me $1000 just to install! An acquaintance was charged $800 by a plumber "friend", so I felt the $150 was quite reasonable. Besides, Branneky & Sons(& probably Grandsons & Great-grandsons by now) has been around for a long time! I trust them to stand behind what they sell & I'd rather do business with them than the big chain-stores whenever possible. I'm very happy.
