Well, The best made plans of mice and men didn't happen. Rain it did, it came in sheets, humid it was, outstanding movers it was. All new home crews were there at the same time, but the movers lead the groups in not getting in each others way.
Now remember, a few hours before these guys were thinking they had the day off after a hard trip to Louisiana. The total move price was excellent, and who could have blame the owner for wanting to push for more money, but they didn't. I did tip them each but got the feeling they were not expecting a large one.
I liked the fact the movers put down rug covers and were very careful about tracking in mud. In fact the most dirt damage was done by the appliance installers, the movers did what they could.

We couldn't be happier with the service. They gave us a good price and these guys worked their tails off!!! The whole move took two days but they stayed with the job until it was done. We will be using them again if we get to move back to MO!!!

I contracted these services for my sister. She told me right away to dispute payment since one of the two men sent was vomiting and moving extremely slowly, which she felt held up the progress of her move greatly. The owner thinks sending more men at the end of the day without charge makes up for the rest of the day (he also changed his story from two men sent for an hour to three men sent for two hours). I was promised I would receive a call before any charge was made to my credit card. I reiterated to "Matt" (who booked the move) how important this was to me. It did not happen. I noticed the charge on my credit card statement and phoned to inquire why I hadn't been notified. Well, Matt, just passed the buck - "Oh, didn't anyone call you?" I was promised a call back by the boss- after a week of waiting I phoned. I got the owner on the phone who claimed the boss wasn't in - then switched his story to say that he was on the line but someone had been leaving the office when he picked up (??). He said he didn't know the details of the move and would have to talk to the job supervisor. He promised he would call me within 3 days. Didn't happen. I waited more than three weeks. I finally called back. He passed the buck to the supervisor. I told him that HE had promised to call me and that his excuse was unacceptable. He didn't provide me with any new details that would support the charge of a 12.5-hour move and more than double what I expected to pay. I told him I could appreciate the fact that my sister was ill-prepared for her move but I was still rather upset that every promise of notification or communication was not upheld. In the end, the owner told me that my time, effort, and aggravation had "no monetary value." All he cared about was that a job was done, someone signed off on the papers and it had to be paid. He couldn't care less that their lack of customer service and professionalism were any trouble to me. In other words, he was unwilling to negotiate or refund one penny of the charge. I am sorely tempted to file a dispute for the entire amount.

The movers came on time and were ready to work. There was no downtime in the energy and effort put forth by the men who came to move me. They were extremely careful with moving the furniture and boxes that I had packed. When we arrived at the new residence, they were again extremely careful with the furniture and helped me get things set up the way I wanted. The only thing that disappointed me was that some of the boxes were not placed in the room that was on the label of the box, but I consider that a minor inconvenience considering the price. The men were very nice and clean.

Extremely well. They were professional movers who did the work well, on time, on bid plus took extra time and consideration to help the move go as smooth as possible for the family.
