ACES INSPECTION SERVICES

Aces Inspection was NOT licensed with the state when he did my inspection although he PORTRAYED himself to be so. He LIED on his inspection report stating that my house bibs were working fine when in fact, he did NOT check one of the bibs - only to eventually find out that that faucet had a FREEZE BREAK that Mr. Kopp completely missed because he SKIPPED over that faucet. Because of his negligence in not checking that faucet, there ended up being a flood upstairs AND downstairs causing 60 thousand dollars worth of damages when that faucet was turned on (outside faucet) with a mist setting, not realizing all the back pressure was shooting into the house through the freeze break he missed. We did prove that the freeze break was there prior to his inspection by finding a previous inspection report that was done prior to his, but he lacked proper insurance to cover the damages caused by his negligence!!! He only had a general liability policy - not an E & O policy. Only after he was busted for his state company registration being canceled in 2011 and his termite license expiring in 2017, did he get them reinstated at the end of the month that his negligence was uncovered. He refuses to respond to any of my requests to settle the damages. We had a large deductible, extra costs going to/from different states to take care of contractors and repairs and an insurance premium that skyrocketed due to A LexisNexis report with our insurance claim. He states his contract protects him; however, he was not a legitimate business when he did the inspection and had fraudulently misrepresented his company as a legitimate business. With not having proper insurance, not being a member of ASHI, and everything else…..RUN from this company!

My husband and I have been looking at a home in a commercial area to purchase for a future business. We were concerned with the condition of it and hired Brand to do an inspection on it before submitting an offer. He worked us into his schedule during a time that worked best for me, was on time, and extremely thorough. He crawled through every available space and took detailed pictures of all the problem areas described in his report. We received the full written report in a couple of days, 30 pages with detailed pictures that included arrows pointing us to the specific areas of concern. We have complete clarity of the repairs needed and will be able to make an informed decision on the property. We will definitely use Brand in the future!
