Description of Work: We have used Scott's on several occasions for maintenance on our old Honda Civic -- this summer they have replaced the serpentine belt and serviced the air conditioner. They are wonderful to work with, high quality work and good advice, good pricing, and quick service.

 + -1 moreI paid $87.50 for a so call Free AC check. Beware the crooked smile and slimmy hand shake.
Description of Work: Scott's Auto was offering a FREE AC check. I took my car to them and they told me that my AC was not working because of an electrical problem. They told me that they would fix my AC electrical problem for between 30 to 90 dollars. He (Robertson Blane) said that $90 would be the highest amount it would cost. I made an appt and dropped my car off while I waited. Mr. Blane came back to me and said that he determined that my AC problem more serious and that I needed to give him an additional $71. I told him never mind that I ony have the money for it to be fixed. He refused to give me my keys back unless I gave him $87.50 for the diagnostic. I asked him what about the free AC check and why is he now charging me for diagnosing that my issue was more serious. He said that the $87 was an electrical diagnosis. We never agreed to an electrical diagnosis. He is a crook. Initally he told me that he could fix my AC for no more than $90.00. Once he got my keys in his hand he changed the agreement and charged me for the so call AC check. If your in Blue Springs on 40 HWY please pass this business by.
