This car had been idle for a few weeks since I had been told by another service station that it needed the tie rod ends replaced. Since then, I had another instance with that same place that made me question their integrity. Now that the car is going to be driven, I took it for a drive around the block. I noticed some noise from the brakes. I took it to Dave's after reading the reviews here. I'm so glad I did.
It did take longer than expected. I dropped the car off around 9:00am. They called me at about 3:00pm to say they were unexpectedly backed up and asked to keep my car over night. It was worth the wait. They found no trouble with my tie rods or wheel bearings. The brakes had simply gotten rusty so they cleaned them up. Now they are noise free. It's good to now that there is an honest shop that I can take my cars to. They've earned my business!

The only thing I would add, which applies to ALL non-dealer repairs, is if you know/think you may have an unusual problem you are probably better off going straight to a dealer for the brand car you are driving. I have ran into this issue on both a Ford Focus and a Toyota Corolla. After wasting money at private shop(Dave's in one case) I ended up going to the dealer, who knew exactly what the issue was. Small shops that didn't know what the issue really is, will just start throwing new parts at the problem which is very expensive.
