The date of the service changed at the last minute which caused issues for us. We were able to move our work schedule around to accommodate the change, but were not happy. Our garage was taken over by all of the saws and his supplies for a few days which was not part of the plan. Saw dust was all over my garage. There were a few leftover items that he did not take and would not come back to get them unless we paid a fee . The carpentry work was not very professional. It was a basic build up of a breakfast bar and the materials used were bare bones. I should have been more specific, but the cabinet company I used recommended him. I did have to clean up the kitchen and work on a few spots on my wood flooring.

Well, in a word, the work was AWESOME! The man is a true genius. He started by giving us some ideas for the corner unit and understood exactly how it would need to be put together. He even drew up several options for us to consider. He has a great appreciation for detail, asking us the exact dimension for the appliances we would be inserting into the corner unit so he could make sure they would fit. The cabinets he made and installed above the existing kitchen cabinets have glass panels and interior lighting. What a wonderful accent to the kitchen!. The kitchen looks so much bigger now. And the stain he did matches the existing cabinets perfectly. He even fixed a screw that attaches the dishwasher to the kitchen island at no extra cost. He kept the work area clean, he was very professional, and is man who truly understands his art. We are planning on having him tile the backsplash and hopefully make some more cabinets for storage on our 3rd floor. He is also owner of Homestead Woodworks and I would use them as well without hesitation. i wish we could attach photos of the project.

Jim Tirre arrived to evaluate the project at the designated time. He followed up with a written estimate. He followed through with a date to do the work. He arrived with a partner on time for doing the work and with the materials he needed to complete the job. He explained our choices we made a decision and he went to work. All was completed on time and within budget. Very pleased and will do business with him again.

GREAT! Everything was done professionally and timely. He showed up as scheduled and got the job done as promised. I would highly recommend Jim for any remodeling project. We could not be happier with our new bathroom!

He and his son worked on the project and everything they did was excellent and on time. We knew what was happening where & when and we never had days where they weren't here on time. They finished it in the time frame that he said it would be finished in. He found the electrician and the plumber for us and they were great recommendations as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

They were very professional, and they were on time. That were not any problems with them, they did a good job. I would recommend them to others and I would use again.

He was a good man. He went with me to get the wood for the door and he picked out what material we should use and then I bought it. I would use him again in the future.

I sent the broken ones in, because the carpenter came out to look at them, and informed me that they were no longer available to buy. I wanted them to match exactly, and I was glad I had found someone who could do that kind of specialty work. I think they are also very professional.

He has ongoing projects to do in our home all of the time. They charge $65 per hour to do basically any type of work. They are very good about time and are very honest as well. He delivers on time, shows up on time, and evaluates a problem figuring out a way to solve the issues with fantastic solutions.

PERFECT! Many carpenters and handymen had evaluated the doors and said they could not be fixed. Jim Tirre researched pocket door hardware in this country and in England. He found sliding farm door hardware that could support very heavy doors that was 1/10th the price of the "restoration" products available from England. He was able to remove the old deteriorated track and wheel hardware and replace it with the new hardware. The doors slide wonderfully and are truly unique here in St. Louis - wood frame glass exterior pocket doors to our front door vestibule! We have gone on to hire Jim and his son to fix our interior pocket doors, water damaged wainscoting, door and window trims, and other woodworking restoration projects in our 110 year old Central West End house.

HE CAME WHEN HE SAID HE COULD AND LISTENED TO ME, SAW WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, QUOTED A FAIR PRICE. I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND HE AND HIS SON CAME. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND WENT BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS.
