what happened. This is a money-pit company--I am certain if I had let them they would have gone on "repairing" until my money ran out! My greatest regret is when the lead person, Caleb, said, "are you ready to settle up" by which he meant pay the bill and I, idiotically, paid it right then. The next day, (they had to "finish" the job at night in almost complete darkness!) I saw how really horrible it all looked. Caleb came back out and half-assed some caulking and again said it was something else causing the trouble. I have taken pictures and will share them. I feel completely ripped off by these people.
"Since 2003, Dream Home Enterprises has strived to excel in our craft and offer our customers an extraordinary service. We are sorry that you are unhappy with our services. You hired us to replace a symptom (leaking and rotted window) but chose to ignore our professional recommendations of the greater problems at hand with your house. Such as, you need a new roof, you need to keep your gutters clean, and your siding is loaded with wood rot because of lack of maintenance. We noticed that you wrote similar reviews for two other reputable companies in the area that came after us and their response is similar to ours: you have a bad roof and you have a gutter issue [Hyperlink removed] . When you notified us about your leak; we showed up that week on YOUR first availability and caulked your rotten siding well beyond the scope of our work (without charge) and reiterated your need for a new roof and to keep your gutters clean otherwise the water will drain into your wall again. For clarification, once we removed your rotten window; we showed you the structural damage that you had because of years of water damage and you agreed to an additional $225 that was beyond scope. We are a licensed contractor that has many divisions (roofing, outdoor living, wood rot, painting…) and the workers that were on site were specialists in this type of work and have done hundreds of similar jobs with success. We can give any potential customer as many references they want of happy customers that has given us keys to their homes and only allows us on their property for lawn and home maintenance or even addresses of work that we have done. Yes, also we have pictures of your bad roof, structural damage that was in wall, plugged gutters, rotted siding, and screen shots of other reviews of companies who came after us telling you that you have serious issues with your home."
